Fortnite: How To Discover The Device - Game Rant

Fortnite has recently had a new event putting an end to chapter 2 as we know it, and literally flipping the game upside down. And now with Fortnite Chapter 3 already out for players to try, there is loads of new content for fans.

This new batch of content brings new Fortnite quests that players will need to complete to gain experience and rewards. One of the many tasks is to find a strange item known as "The Device." The Device, specifically, is a black briefcase with a blue glowing aura typically inside buildings or hidden outside. The reward for finding one is 25,000 XP.

There are about ten different spawn points that players can find the device on the new map. Luckily, fans only need to grab one of them to complete the quest. So for Fortnite fans looking to quickly finish this mission, here are just a few different places where gamers can find the device.

Coney Crossroads

One of the first places gamers can find The Device is towards the center of the map near the big lake by Coney Crossroads. There will be a small outpost with circular doorways. Find the one that is glowing red on the western building and inside should be a little bar relaxation area. The Device should be on the floor right in front of the doorway.

However, given that this is in the dead center of the map, this location tends to be more popular amongst enemies and might be difficult to get to without running into another Fortnite player.

Sanctuary

Another place where fans can find The Device is towards the eastern side of the Fortnite map by the large statues in the Sanctuary. Land at the bottom of the feet near the tall standing statue with its arms crossed. At the bottom is a circular doorway facing outwards from its feet, the device will be to the right next to a bush.

This device might be a more convenient location for gamers who want to quickly knock this quest out and get back into the game.

Chonker's Speedway

Lastly, another less populated location for players to find the Device is at the southern end of the map in the desert by Chonker's Speedway. There will be another small outpost overlooking the water, and The Device will be inside the outer building. There will be computer enemies inside the compound, so if gamers want to avoid a fight, they can sneak around the side and hack the wall to get it.
