Jean's Anemo element makes her a great character to equip the Viridescent Venerer set and support any Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo characters. Since she is also a healer, she can function as both a RES shred support and a healer, or be built as a full healer with a healing-focused set.

Scales on ATK

Jean's damage and healing both scale with her ATK. While her Elemental Skill is a good source of damage, it's still weaker compared to dedicated damage dealers. Building her with two ATK% main stats on her artifacts is a viable option, but you can also use an Energy Recharge Sands since her healing primarily comes from her Burst.

Reliant on Elemental Burst for Healing

Jean's healing mostly comes from her Elemental Burst's activation and healing field but her Normal Attacks have a chance to restore some HP to her teammates. Her Burst has a high Energy cost of 80, but you can use Favonius Sword and funnel the particles from her Skill to herself to reliably use her Burst every rotation.

Passive Offsets Energy Recharge Requirements

One of Jean's passive talents refunds 20% of the Energy cost when she uses her Elemental Burst. This makes it easier to use her Burst again in subsequent rotations.

Burst's Field Has a Special Interaction

Anemo Healer With Powerful Healing

Jean is an Anemo healer that uses her Burst to provide instant healing and healing over time within its field. Since her Elemental Skill can apply Anemo, she can also be used as a VV support for Pyro, Hydro, Electro and Cryo characters.

Elemental Skill Can Knock Away And Lift Enemies

Jean's Elemental Skill is a unique skill that deals Fall DMG because it can lift enemies and throw them away. It can be used to throw enemies into a void or body of water, but there will be no enemy drops if the enemy dies that way.

Elemental Burst For Healing And Application Cleanse

Jean's Elemental Burst provides powerful instant healing and healing over time for characters within its range. It applies Anemo to the characters, which can erase any Elements applied on them as well as dealing Anemo DMG to enemies entering. When combined with Bennett's Burst applying Pyro, it can easily apply Pyro to enemies in range via Swirl reactions.

Normal Attacks Give Small RNG Healing

Another one of Jean's Passives gives her Normal Attacks a small chance to restore HP to the team. This makes her viable to use as an on-field healer, but since it's RNG-based, it is not a reliable reason for her to be on-field.

C4 Provides Anemo RES Shred

While Jean has historically been featured on Chronicled Wish banners with Skyward Blade and Aquila Favonia, none are considered her Signature Weapon, especially since she is a Standard Banner character. Because of this, her constellations are the main way to improve her performance without relying on other characters or weapons. If she's featured on a Chronicled Wish banner and you want to boost her performance as an Anemo Support and Healer, consider pulling for her C4. This constellation decreases enemies' Anemo RES with her Burst, making it one of her best upgrades, but this is only recommended if you are willing to spend the resources to specifically get her constellations.

C2 has limited use-cases, but the Movement and Attack Speed it provides can still be a nice bonus, despite not being particularly impactful in most teams. In general, Jean is already great at C0, so you don't need to actively pull for her constellations. Consider any extra constellations you get as a welcome bonus.

Primordial Jade Cutter Is Good to Have On Any Account

In addition to being a universal 5-star sword with a CRIT Rate sub-stat, its passive converts HP into Attack, which directly benefits Jean since her abilities scale with her Attack stat. Jean also deals a decent amount of damage with her Skill and Burst, so the extra CRIT Rate is very useful. Pulling for the Primordial Jade Cutter is a sound decision for any account, and the fact that it's one of Jean's best options makes it a great investment.

While not as universally useful, the Freedom-Sworn is another good alternative due to the team-wide buffs it provides. Fewer characters can make full use of Freedom-Sworn, so it might not be a top priority to pull for. However, it can still be a decent option for Jean, especially if you also want the other weapon featured on its banner.
