It's the weekend of reflection for the Christian faithful — and hunting for chocolate Easter eggs to the delight of the kids.

Many public places are closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but open on Easter Monday.

Here's a list we've come up with for you:

Government services and LCBO

  • London City Hall will be closed Friday through Monday.
  • No garbage collection Friday or Monday.
  • No mail delivery Friday or Monday.
  • London Transit will operate on a limited schedule on Good Friday. Regular service will be offered on Easter Monday.
  • Service Ontario locations will be closed on Good Friday but some are open on Easter Monday   
  • All LCBO stores are closed on Good Friday and Sunday. Select stores will be open with reduced hours on Easter Monday

Businesses

  • Stores at Masonville Place and White Oaks Mall are closed Friday, open Saturday, closed Sunday and open on Monday.
  • Covent Garden Market will be closed Friday and Sunday. It will be open on Monday.
  • Most grocery stores are closed Friday and Sunday, but open on Easter Monday.
  • Check ahead to see if your favourite restaurant is open, and for wait times if you're planning on going for fish and chips.

Recreation and fun

  • All city pools are closed on Good Friday. The Canada Games Aquatic Centre will be open Easter Sunday. All city pools are open Monday.
  • All public libraries in London are closed on Good Friday with regular hours Saturday. Branch locations as well as the Central Library are closed Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
  • Storybook Gardens is holding Easter egg hunts as they open for the season on Friday, though all of the available reservations have been booked. The family facility is closed Sunday and Monday.
