Hollow Knight - Geo Farm Guide - Prima Games

Geo is the main currency in Hollow Knight, and if players ever want to purchase any items or weapons, they’re going to need to learn how to obtain it early on. In this guide we’ll take a look at an easy to farm area near the start of the game, that will allow you to farm for Geo in Hollow Knight without much trouble. It should also be noted, you’ll need Geo to pay tolls at Trams, Benches, and Stag Stations as well, so stocking up early on is a great idea.

How to Farm Geo

Farming Geo in Hollow Knight is relatively easy. All you really need to do is find a good path with plenty of enemies, and then just start farming. But, to help you out, we’ve put together this handy guide that will show you the best place to farm early in the game.

To get started farming for Geo, you’re going to need to make your way to Greenpath. Once there, locate the Stagway station and then exit the area (make sure your Soul is full first). You should spot several easy enemies along the way outside. Take them out, and then exit up to find two Moss Knights above the entrance to a nearby boss room. Wake the sleeping knight up, and then move both knights onto the same side of you.

With both knights on the same side, cast vengeful spirit three times, this will make it so that you only have to attack each knight one time to kill it. With the knights dead, head back to the Stagway station in Greenpath and rest at the bench to respawn the enemies. Now all you need to do is rinse and repeat until you’re stocked up.

You can increase the amount of Geo that you earn from each kill by purchasing the Fragile Greed Charm, which can only be bought from the shopkeep in the Fungal Wastes. With the charm purchased and equipped, you’ll earn 102 Geo from each Moss Knight, effectively giving you 204 Geo for a couple of easy kills.

Players can also pick up the Gathering Swarm to help with farming. Equipping this charm will cause all the Geo from any killed enemies without having to walk over it. You can purchase this charm early on in Dirthmouth, after you have found the shopkeep that is stranded in Forgotten Crossroads.

Now that you know a good place to get started, it’s time to start stocking up on Geo. Make your way to Greenpath, pick up the additional charms if you can, and then get to farming. Before you know it you’ll have all the Geo you could ever need to purchase any items you come across during your journey.
