Hello! How long does EWCM stay around after "O'? I'm pretty sure I O'd around CD 18 and 19,but still have the EWCM.Today is CD 20. If I make my DH DTD again tonight,I think he is gonna scream!LOL

  From my understanding, EWCM will not hang around after O, but I'm no expert.  lol.  I think maybe day of O or the day after, but if you have it longer than that, then you probably didn't O when you think you did.  GL!!

  Collins, you probably O'd (are o'ing that is) late.  That happened to me on my very first cycle after the V, and it was confusing.  I had a 34 day cycle--since then I've had four shorter cycles of 28-30 days.  Because I had actually had a little EWCM around day 13, but then it returned about CD 17.

  I ended up thinking I was truly late and that the second time was increased CM was a PG symptom, as some people have that as a symptom.

  Probably TMI but I am not very dry after I O but the really fertile EW goes away.  When I starting paying so much more attention I expected to be drier, like I read about, but I always have some generous creamy CM a couple times in 2WW, also some watery.  I only have a small number of dryish days each month mostly around CD 7-12 and CD 25+ but then a bit of nearly EW before AF too.  I kept thinking I had PG symptoms because it kept showing up during the 2WW when I was "supposed" to be dry.  Sigh.

  2-3 days is about the norm for EWCM for me.  You probably O tomorrow is my guess.   Like Ruth, my understanding is you O right after the latest or most generous EWCM, maybe one extra day like the day of O but it really tapers off fast.  Hope you've been BDing lots with the EW!

  I get lots of ewcm. And yes, it can last 3-4 days or more. And I get it BEFORE I o.... sometimes you might see a little right before your period starts too, which is from changing hormones again...

  It's really hard to pinpoint it unless there is more info,have your checked CP? For example if you have EWCM and your CP SHOW your O'ing.

  Collins,

  CP is Cervical position and EW is egg white,SHOW is Soft,high,open and wet. If your noticing the EWCM and the SHOW your O'ing,if not then it could be after.

  I've copied this information that I got from FertilityFriend.com which may answer your question:

  Why do I have eggwhite cervical fluid after I have already ovulated?

  Some cervical fluid after ovulation is possible because the corpus luteum, though its main function is to produce progesterone, produces estrogen in small amounts. This may cause you to see some fertile-looking cervical fluid, even after ovulation.

  If your temperatures and other signs show clearly that you have already ovulated, then you can be confident that you are no longer fertile. It is also not uncommon to confuse semen and eggwhite or watery cervical fluid. Some women also notice some fertile-looking cervical fluid just before menstruation.

  However, if your chart does not show clearly that you have already ovulated (with a clear and sustained thermal shift) do not stop having intercourse. Keep on considering the possibility that you are still fertile as long as you see fertile cervical fluid to make sure you don't miss a chance to conceive.  ~from fertilityfriend.com

  My OPK's and the CBEFM showed that I was going to O, then after about 2-3 days I had a bunch of EWCM.  After researching, I saw that this was common, so I would trust the OPK's and charting.  Also, as long as you get BD in eod during fertile time you should be good to go.  Hope this helps!
