Because I wanted to raise the volume, I set everything +6 dB + The main volume 100 dB. Now the bass sounds like 'PRRR BPRRR', not the 'DK DK' as before. Can I reset what I've done? Or must I re-do everything with other settings? ReplyLink

Try using the sound slider in the top of the iTunes bar, next to backward, play and forward. This is different to the system sound level. ReplyLink

You need an amp. I have one of these. http://www.jdslabs.com/products.php It will drive any high impedance headphones. ReplyLink

I used iVolume, but I noticed that the quality of the music became less good. Is this normal? Is it really that the audio quality became worse or is it just me? Anyways, thanks for the help but I'm waiting at your answer! ReplyLink

How good the music sounds is a subjective thing - it is your opinion. What my ears consider good at 256 kbps might sound bad to you. As far as I know iVolume does not change the size or alter the quality - just adjusts the volume. MJ ReplyLink

Open iVolume and select the tunes - try a couple that are not sounding right - readjust the volume and see if that give you a satisfactory result. MJ ReplyLink

Good point. I target my adjustments to be around -2.5 to +2.5. This is possibly why I notice no difference in the 'quality' MJ ReplyLink
