When did Gwendoline Christie join Game of Thrones?

Gwendoline was cast in Game of Thrones in July 2011 and made her debut as Brienne in episode three of the second series.

She starred as a recurring character for two seasons before being promoted to the main cast in series four.

What will Gwendoline Christie do after Game of Thrones?

Gwendoline hasn’t given any hints as to what she’ll be tackling after Games of Thrones but she shouldn’t find it difficult to transition.

The actress has quite the repertoire including the role of Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens – which she reprised in 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

She also played Commander Lyme in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

She has also enjoyed a successful career on the stage, appearing in Cymbeline at the Barbican and winning praise for the 2010 West End production of Breakfast At Tiffany’s, where she appeared as Mag Wildwood.

How tall is Gwendoline Christie is real life?

Gwendoline is known for her height and stands at 1.91m (6’2).

Her height is something she was conscious of, having been told she’s never make it in acting because ‘she didn’t look the same as most actors’.

However, the comments only served as an encouragement to her to pursue the career of her dreams.

Gwendoline credited Tilda Swinton as inspiration after seeing her in film Orlando and thinking: ‘Well, she is in a film, she is otherworldly and is definitely outside the room. I realised that maybe there was a place for me too’.
