Store Page The Sims™ 3 > General Discussions > Topic Details Gokchu View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 5:27am How to delete homeless sims So, I bought the Late Night expansion pack and I hate vampires. I really don't want them in Bridgeport town so I made lots of research about how to delete them, and lots of people told that ''It is impossible to get rid of them in Bridgeport bc they are locals of that town.'' (By the way, I've already disabled the vampires from the community settings ingame but this didn't avoid the vampires). So I decided to look up for each vampire's name and delete them from the town before I started playing. But I've realized that in that town, there are some homeless sims too which I can't make adjustments on. I need to delete them but bc of they are homeless, I can't remove them from the town. (The name of the homeless vampire sims are ''Flo-Flo Chique'', ''Erika Talon'' and ''Brigit Hemlock'' if it is needed.) Do I need some mods ? (I've heard about ''NRAAS'' but I don't have any idea about it). I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me an advice on that. Thanks :> The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question. Click here to jump to that post. Originally posted by igazor: Whoa there. At least one of the Bridgeport sims mentioned would be occupying a slot on actual residents' family trees, so they actually have some reason to be in the game. (Edit: Wasn't sure about one of them but just checked, they are all close family relations to actual residents)NRaas MasterController, for those so inclined, can be used to safely Totally Annihilate a sim so it is as if they never existed. Or it can be used (MC Cheats module required) to remove their vampire status, what we call their occult state. But in this case, I think what you really might have wanted to do is testingcheatsenabled and then shift (or some modifier key, it might be ctrl or ctrl-shift) on your active household's mailbox, then select Remove Vampires. That won't remove the actual sims, just their occult status.Hopefully you have a save you can revert to from before you force-deleted these sims? < > Showing 1-10 of 10 comments B✪✪tsy View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 5:31am When you have cheats enabled you can shift click them and manually delete them. Because the reason why I saw the vampires in my game even thought I turned off that setting is that they are locals. And if we can say that those homeless vampires are not locals, then they should not appear on my game...maybe ? But I am still open to any suggestions. how am I supposed to see them ? While playing or while editing the town ? Because I can't see them from ''edit town'' section. #3 Gokchu View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 5:50am

I figured out how to do that, will they be removed for good ? #4 The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic. igazor View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 1:37pm Whoa there. I literally spent so much time searching about my issue and I am hearing this for the first time. The first thing I made when I entered to Bridgeport was I disabled the vampires (also other supernaturals) from the community settings but I saw lots of them in the city. And I was like ''What the heck is the point of disabling them from the options section then ?'' So, you say that doing this mail box thing will not remove them, just change their sim status, right ? Vampire to a human sim..? Last edited by Gokchu; 14 Dec, 2019 @ 2:39pm #6 igazor View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 3:08pm Right, that is the point of using the mailbox cheat. I can't say I've used it much myself since NRaas mods are always at my fingertips (I'm a moderator there) but players who are not quite ready for MasterController or who simply think of using the mailbox cheat first to remove occult status from sims do report success with it. It alone does nothing ongoing, it only acts one time on the existing sims.Removing the selection on the Game Options should prevent further vamps from showing up or being converted, it wouldn't affect the existing ones and as you have seen Bridgeport in particular has some before the game even begins. Other EA worlds not counting Moonlight Falls (comes with Supernatural) wouldn't. A lot of Game Options work that way. Disabling Celebrity Status for example doesn't remove Celeb stars from existing sims, it only stops those in the active household from progressing that status further. For what it's worth, over time I came to like the occults in my game. I play them (and around them) as if they were misunderstood minorities, which in many cases is what they are, and in my games except maybe for Zombies which are a special case unto themselves they tend to breed with the general population. :) #7 Gokchu View Profile View Posts 14 Dec, 2019 @ 3:46pm

Literally, thank you a hundred of times. I've never heard about the mail box cheat EVER before and I was so hopeless about if it would work or not (because things generally don't go my way in that kind of situations) I am also kinda happy that I talked with a moderator from a mod site :D Thanks again ^^ Last edited by Gokchu; 14 Dec, 2019 @ 3:47pm #8 MistyMountainHop View Profile View Posts 15 Dec, 2019 @ 5:51am NRaas Story Progression (I think) has an option that allows you to immediately remove all homeless sims as soon as it's active. That initial run offer is coming from either SP or Overwatch. The SP option being invoked there would be Manage the Homeless. That one will also attempt to move some homeless sims into residences, where such a thing would be applicable (homeless co-workers, Role Sims working assigned stations in town like bars and cash registers, street performers) provided suitable housing for them would even be available. Many players, including me, do not like or use this option because it tends to use up much of the available housing slots we may have wanted the other residents or our own sims to be able to choose from and other households we may be playing or watching over suddenly end up with new unexpected housemates.Overwatch has a Homeless Cleanup option (I think this is the initial run one but could be mistaken) that will attempt to remove unassigned homeless sims nightly, not assigned ones, but it tends to get carried away at times and remove sims who actually have a reason to be in the game. It also fails to recognize festival booth workers as needed during the period in between Season's festivals where they are temporarily unassigned. Many of us using mods prefer to manage our homeless sims ourselves. We can't have no homeless sims at all. Service Sims (maids, babysitters, mail/pizza deliverers, the Grim Reaper and the Time Traveler, etc.), NPC Roommates, vehicle drivers, stray animals, the human and pet adoption and horse breeding pools are always classified as homeless sims. If they were all to be removed one way or another or made into residents, the service, roommate, and adoption pools, etc. would spawn new ones as they are needed.
