A few months ago, I invested in a Ring Doorbell to deal with the rising cases of porch pirates in my area.

The whole system was running seamlessly until a week ago when I got a notification on the Ring app that the doorbell was offline.

Ring devices require a minimum of 16VAC. If your transformer is supplying less voltage, your Ring device will not function properly.

Factory Reset Your Ring Doorbell

If none of the aforementioned fixes work, your last resort is resetting your Ring doorbell.

Note that this will remove any settings and information saved on the device.

The process is fairly simple, all you have to do is press and hold the reset button till the doorbell light starts flashing.

Once this is done, wait for the system to turn back on. After this, you will have to reconnect the device to Wi-Fi and add it to the app.
