How to increase influence?
There are several ways to gain influence, both active and passive. For a healthy supply, you’ll want to make use of both. Here’s what you should do if you want to be an infuencer:
- Join an allied army and take part in battles. Helping your faction win wars is a great supply of influence; the bigger the battle, the better the rewards.
- Gift prisoners to faction cities (not owned by you). You’ll get a minimum of 1 influence per prisoner: the higher quality the prisoner, the higher the price.
- If you own a city, build a forum. At the lowest level, it’ll add 1 influence per day to your total. Upgrade it for higher gains.
- If you own a city, instate policies that raise influence, like Council of The Commons. It gives you 1 influence per notable person, per day.
- Invest in skills that increase influence gain. The champion perk from Charm will give you 10 more influence for every tournament win. The influential trader perk from Trading will allow your caravans and workshops to earn you influence.
All in all, if you own a settlement, you just need to know where to look and you’ll be earning more influence than you can spend soon enough. If you’re landless, things are a big more complicated, and it can be a slog, so try to get your hands on a town as soon as you can.
