The Sea's Legend is the 66th Request in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and tasks you with solving an ancient mystery and catching Manaphy for Professor Laventon. This guide will provide tips on how to find Manaphy, as well as reveal the rewards for completing the Request further below.

The Sea's Legend - How to Get Manaphy

After reaching the Coronet Highlands, you'll see this Request posted on the Request Board in Professor Laventon's office. Accept the Request and you'll see a short cutscene detailing a book titled The Sea's Legend that tells the tale of a Pokemon "prince" who met a brave trainer and three Pokemon at Seaside Hollow.

This is a direct reference to the book of the same name that can be found in the Canaleve Library in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (as seen below).

To begin, you'll need to add three specific Pokemon to your party: Buizel, Mantyke, and Overqwil.

Buizel can be found early on while roaming near the water of the Obsidian Fieldlands, Mantyke can be found flying above the ocean in the Tranquility Cove section of the Cobalt Coastlands, and Qwilfish can be found near the same area as Mantyke in the Cobalt Coastlands. However, to obtain the required Overqwil, you'll need to use evolve your Qwilfish by using the move Barb Barrage (Strong Style) 20 times and reaching Level 20. You also have the opportunity to catch an Overqwil later in the story.

With the required three Pokemon in your party, make your way to the Cobalt Coastlands during the evening. Head towards the two large spikes emerging from the water at the eastern part of the map near Sand's Reach.

When you reach the location, you'll hear the call of a mysterious Pokemon indicated by a dialog box reading "Fioooooo..."

Next, head to Seaside Hollow which is indicated by a cave icon on your map on the north side of Veilstone Cape.

It's recommended to save your game before heading into the cave! Head inside the cave to see a short cutscene revealing the mysterious Pokemon to be Manaphy.

You'll encounter a Level 50 Manaphy as well as three Level 35 Phione. While you can catch everything, you must catch the Manaphy to complete this Request. Head back to Professor Laventon once you've caught Manaphy and speak with him and he'll mark this Request as complete.

The Sea's Legend - Rewards

After successfully catching Manaphy for Professor Laventon, you'll be given three Comet Shards for your efforts.
