- 1 cup sugar
- water as required
- 1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon

How to make Apple Jam
Step 1 Peel & chop the apples
Firstly wash and clean the apples. Next, peel them and using a clean chopping board, chop them. Keep them aside until needed again.
Step 2 Melt the sugar
Next, put a deep bottomed pan on medium heat and add sugar in it. Allow the mixture to cook until the consistency of the mixture thickens.
Step 3 Add cinnamon powder & chopped apples
Carefully add cinnamon powder followed by adding chopped apples to the sugar mixture. Reduce the heat to a low flame and let the mixture cook for half an hour to the max.
Step 4 Mash the apple pieces
Using a wooden spoon, carefully mash the apples in the mixture. Cook until you attain a thick consistency resembling that of a jam.
Step 5 Transfer homemade Apple Jam to containers
Cook for a few more minutes, turn the gas off and let the jam cool down a bit. Now transfer your homemade Apple jam to an air tight container and store for later usage.
Tips
- Make sure you transfer the apple jams in clean jars after it cools down.
- Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate. The homemade apple jam should stay fresh for 2 weeks.
- You can skip the sugar if you are using sweet varieties of apple for the jam.
