Vanilla iced coffee is a cool and natural beverage made by blending cold brew coffee with ice cubes and a touch of vanilla extract for a simple and refreshing taste.
This delightful beverage combines the rich flavor of black coffee with a touch of sweetness from vanilla flavoring. After brewing a strong cup of coffee and allowing it to cool, you can pour it over ice cubes. For a creamy variation, you can also add milk, turning it into an iced vanilla latte.
And if you're the kind of person who likes to start every day with a good cup of coffee in the morning, then this vanilla iced coffee recipe is perfect for you! It's the perfect drink to get your caffeine fix and still be refreshed this summer.
Why you'll love this recipe
- Quick & Easy: Ready in under 3 minutes for those on the go.
- Cost-effective: Save money compared to coffee shop prices.
- Natural Ingredients: You control the quality and freshness.
- Refreshing & Energizing: A delightful caffeine boost on hot days.
Ingredients you need
You need these ingredients to make this iced vanilla coffee:
- Coffee: espresso coffee (coffee beans), filter coffee, instant coffee, in short, the one you usually like to make.
- Ice cubes: Ice will inevitably dilute the taste of coffee and if you are afraid of not getting your coffee shot, then you can make an extra strong coffee by reducing the amount of liquid or just make coffee ice cubes.
- Sugar: the one you usually use in your coffee, here I use a natural sugar, maple syrup that you can replace by honey or a simple syrup.
- Milk: as an option you can use 2% milk, whole milk or plant-based milk like my homemade almond milk recipe.
- Vanilla: Pure vanilla extract, a vanilla bean infused in hot coffee, or store-bought vanilla syrup (or make your own vanilla syrup see below how to make it)
