How to use storage locations on your PS5 console
Game and saved data, as well as other data, is stored on the built-in storage of your PS5® console. If you don't have room on your console storage, you can either delete data that's already there or move data to one of the following storage spaces:

*1 To play PS5 games, you need to move game data from your USB extended storage drive back to your PS5 console storage or M.2 SSD storage.

Your PS5 console monitors how much storage space is used by your games, media content, and saved data. To check how much free storage space you have, go to the home screen and select Settings > Storage.
To free up your storage space, delete existing data, or move data to a different location:
Move games to USB extended storageIf you don't want to delete the existing games in your PS5 console storage, you can move them to USB extended storage.

- Go to Settings > Storage > Console Storage > Games and Apps.
- Choose the data you want to get rid of, and select Delete.
- When a game has Customize next to its title, you can select and manage portions of the game data. For example, if there are add-ons you don't use or parts of a game that you've already finished, you can delete the data and still play the rest of the game.
- You can also manage PS5 console storage by linking your PS5 console to PlayStation®App on your iOS or Android device.
How to manage saved data on your PS5 console
When you're a PlayStation Plus member, you can upload your saved data to cloud storage.
PlayStation Plus cloud storage- Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
- Select Saved Data (PS5) or Saved Data (PS4).
- Select Upload or Delete from Console Storage.
- Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS4).
- Select Upload or Delete from Console Storage > Copy to USB Drive.
- Select a game to reveal the related save files. Check the box next to the files you want to copy and then select Copy.
- Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS4).
- Select Copy or Delete from USB Drive.
- Select a game to reveal the related save files. Check the box next to the files you want to copy and select Copy.
