SubtleStyle S Hey Forte fans, I wanted to show a quick how-to on removing tint spray with Goof Off. I tinted the turn signal lens on my side mirrors over a year ago with something similar to VHT Nightshades but I decided I wanted a cleaner look. I searched the internet for a while and most people were saying you need to sand, use paint thinner, wax it, etc. which seemed like more time than I was willing to spend. I saw a couple of people say that Goof Off worked great for them but they didn't elaborate. I also couldn't find any videos of someone using Goof Off to remove tint spray. I like proof of something before I do it so I made a video real quick for anyone who's interested. Simply use some acetone (or nail polish remover which contains this chemical) and wipe. Problem solved. Nice video, by the way. #7 · Nov 6, 2011

I saw a lot of people suggesting this as well but many were saying that it didn't work for them. Not sure why it works for some people and not others. Subtle, good DIY on the goo gone, also a rag soaked with gas works too. it just smells horrible. #9 · Nov 6, 2011

Thanks Noodile. For anyone that needs to do this though remember it's not Goo Gone that you need, that stuff won't work. It's Goof Off Professional Strength. It cost me $7.99 but I plan on doing some different tint styles on my taillights and if I don't like them now I know this stuff works! Oh and this stuff has a pretty potent smell as well, I ended up getting light headed towards the end. 0 Reply #4 · Nov 6, 2011 Well, I used nail polish to remove ALL of the spray tint on my headlights and they haven't fogged out since... and that was months ago. Plus I have tint film on my headlights. #5 · Nov 6, 2011 Black Mirrors FTW #6 · Nov 6, 2011 great work dude. this will make alot of people's lives easier if they have to take off their tint. #10 · Dec 15, 2011 I tried taking apart the mirror amd i cant figure it out and i dont want to break anything.
