In DS1, you use Snuggly the Crow's mother to transport from the Undead Asylum to Firelink Shrine and vice versa, and since she's a regular, non-human half-breed monster girl, it only stands to reason that Snuggly is just normal a crow that will get really big and can talk, dood. Alternatively, it's also entirely possible that Snuggly could be a creature similar to Ornifex who is depressingly hard to find a good picture of that isn't from ---- or a part of a mod that adds panties and thigh high stockings to her model . Ornifex speaks similarly to the baby crows, but is more articulate, which would make sense since she's presumably significantly older, dood.
