I have just started having same issues... 3 of my texting friends have Android device and I’m now seeing Read. Is this something new or issues with my phone??

I read the article, but it doesn’t give me an answer as to why I’d be receiving them in my text messages from Android users. I know how to turn them off and on, but my issue is that I’m receiving read receipts from OTHER people in my texts that don’t have iMessage or even an Apple device at all.

While it appears strange, it also appears from what you have shown that it is intermittent. I only see one Read on each of the two screen shots that you provided.
