Our Iced Latte recipe turns your favorite morning beverage into a refreshing drink that you can enjoy at any time of the day. All you need is some ice, a splash of milk and rich espresso-like coffee from a stovetop brewer. Grab your mason jar to add some cold foam for an elevated twist, or customize your coffee with a little vanilla for a classic Iced Vanilla Latte.

4 oz Starbucks® Espresso Roast Buy Now

OTHER INGREDIENTS

1 cup ice
0.75 cup whole milk
Optional sweetener of choice, such as homemade Vanilla Syrup (or storebought)

TOOLS

Mason jar

Vanilla Syrup

1|cup sugar
1|cup water
1| vanilla bean (or 1 1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract)

HOW TO MAKE

Cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise.
- If using vanilla extract, wait to add until the end of Step 03.

Add the sugar, water and vanilla bean (if using) to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Once cooled, strain out the vanilla bean from the syrup.
- If using vanilla extract, stir in with the sugar and water mixture once it's simmered and cooled.

Enjoy in your favorite Starbucks® coffee or recipe.

Iced Latte

Fill a tall glass with ice, and pour in the freshly brewed espresso.

Pour the milk and optional sweetener into a mason jar until it’s ¾ full.

Seal the jar tightly, and shake, shake, shake.

Pour the milk and foam into the glass with the ice and espresso.

WHAT IS AN ICED LATTE?

An iced latte is a variation on the traditional latte—but served cold. This refreshing coffee drink is made with espresso, milk and ice. Brewed espresso is combined with cold milk and ice, creating a smooth, creamy coffee drink.

HOW DO YOU MAKE AN ICED LATTE WITH A NESPRESSO® MACHINE?

To make an iced latte with Nespresso® Original Line or Vertuo machines, you will need your preferred Starbucks® by Nespresso® coffee capsules, milk and ice. Brew a shot of espresso using your machine. Meanwhile, fill a glass with ice. Pour the espresso shot directly over the ice and add cold milk to the glass. Stir gently and enjoy your homemade iced latte.

CAN A LATTE BE ICED?

A latte can be iced. An iced latte is a popular variation of a traditional latte, where the hot milk is replaced with cold milk and the coffee is served over ice. It is a great option for those who prefer their coffee cold or during hot weather.
