  • Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that In Space with Markiplier is an interactive YouTube series YouTube star Markiplier's fictional trip to space. A space ship called the Invincible II is taking passengers to a distant planet to start a new life. But when disaster strikes, the captain has to make decisions about how to get the ship back on course. This fun series features some fantasy violence, some occasional strong language, including words like "hell" and "asshat." There's a champagne toast, and some moments of mild innuendo that will go over many kids' heads. All of this is offered in a comedy context, and will most likely appeal to tweens and up.

  • Violence & Scariness

    a little

Lots of humorous fantasy violence. Threats to the ship, the crew, and the passengers are consistent. Laser guns are fired, explosions happen, and people get thrown around or blown out into space. People are shown in bandages with injuries, but there's no blood or gore.

Is It Any Good?

Our review: Parents say (3 ): Kids say (9 ):

This fun sci-fi/action comedy allows viewers to watch the story unfold from the point of view of the ship's new captain, while choosing how the story will unfold. Throughout it all, a colorful cast of crew members like the head engineer (played by Markiplier) engage the captain as they go about their work, or are called upon to do things like protect passengers from laser-firing androids or to keep the vessel from exploding. Granted, some of the humor is silly, but this doesn't take away from the series' overall entertainment value. Folks looking for an amusing online series will In Space with Markiplier worth checking out.
