When you've got a net worth of £160million like Ed Sheeran , what do you spend it on?

Well if you're anything like the 28-year-old, only your own mini-village will do.

Ed recently spent £3.7 million on nearby properties to add to his already palatial estate in his hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk.

He'd bought the 16th Century Wynneys farmhouse in June 2012 for £450,000 and has since added the Chestnuts bungalow for £525,000, Sunnyside house at £925,000, The Poplars for £875,000 and Wynneys hall at £895,000.

The property has its own working pub, a wildlife pond, a gym and cherry orchard, as well as the other houses Ed bought from his neighbours.

The animal-lover has plenty of room for furry friends, with a chicken coop and room for two goats and two sheep in one part of the grounds.

Public planning documents also show that Ed is hoping to build an underground music room and cinema and a secret tunnel that links the main house to the Lancaster Lock pub — named after his wife.

Work is currently underway on a Victorian-style greenhouse, kitchen garden and mini-padock, according to the Daily Mail .

Ed's estate originally irked neighbours about his so-called wildlife pond, as they believed it was actually a swimming pool.

But according to the report, their issues with the house have been resolved and all the locals are "getting on with it".

The huge home will be a love nest for Ed and his wife Cherry Lancaster Seaborn, who he wed last year.

Ed popped the question to his hockey player girlfriend back in December 2017 and they married in secret back in December.

The happy couple have known each other since attending school in Framlingham.

Ed admitted he fancied her even then, but their relationship didn't survive the long distance when Cherry went to university in America.

However, they rekindled their romance in 2015 and Ed's BFF Taylor Swift even threw them an anniversary party a year later.
