an innovative first-year introduction to the life sciences
We designed the Integrated Science Curriculum for first-year students drawn to interdisciplinary studies in the life sciences. Through a balanced and cohesive integration of physics, chemistry, molecular biology, and computer science, ISC serves as a launching pad for research-driven independent work in college and science-centered career paths in the future.
To learn more about ISC, check out course details, paths from ISC, as well as instructor and student perspectives. Feel free to email us ([email protected]) with your questions.
Class of 2029
We are hosting two virtual information sessions in June:
9:30–10:30 am EST on June 11. Zoom link
4–5 pm EST on June 25. Zoom link
If you would like to be considered for ISC, please fill out the interest survey as soon as you can. We encourage you to submit the form by July 2 for priority consideration. We welcome all students who enjoy natural science subjects and are familiar with high-school algebra, trigonometry, exponential and logarithm, and single-variable differentiation. We do not require prior experience in computer programming.
Exciting learning opportunities abound on Princeton campus, and we are thrilled to offer ISC as one of many options! Enrollment in ISC is not competitive or first come, first served. Think of it as a two-way selection process: we would like to assemble a motivated and cohesive group of students for our experimental curriculum, just as much as we would like you to find the best way to kickstart your college career at Princeton.
ISC is for you if you are curious about nature, willing to be challenged, and envision a career that revolves around the life sciences!
