The website which I use to read op has the guys name as zolo but in the anime they call him zoro. Does the anime change his name Or the site got it wrong?

ゾロ (Zoro). The "r" syllables are sometimes pronounced like an L. But in this one, it's supposed to be Zoro.

I always seen it as Zoro but I have seen Zolo before. Reminds me of Ruffy.

I remember reading somewhere that they changed his name to Zolo in the localization to avoid confusion with Zorro. Not sure though.

It's clearly supposed to be Zoro like Zorro, who was a master of the sword himself. Much like in D Grey man the character Aleister Crowley is called Arystar Crowley, it's potentially a racist misspelling but I think we all overlook it at this point.

Proly due to localisation. Anime and mangas still have it easy. If u look at some of the localised name of game characters you'll see how bad it is XD.

It’s Roronoa Zoro in the original anime and manga, it was changed by 4kids in their dub to avoid the possibility of getting sued for copyright issues (which I think is very stupid since it’s obviously spelled differently and has no correlation whatsoever). And then when viz media picked up the manga they kept it like that. If I remember correctly that was the reason that I saw, can’t say I’m 100% sure but it makes sense I guess.

I prefer thinking the Z is an R. Considering the surname, the name sounds way graceful that way.
