They have at least one assembly plant in Mexico where shipping to the US for distribution is simple and low cost. In the end, Visio uses globalization to its advantage and its customers end up with a superior TV with more features for the money you spend. No, I do not work for Visio or any of its distributors. However, Element TV still produces their tv's stateside, down in good ole' Winnsboro, South Carolina. They're about the only company I know of that still produces tv's in America. Do you? | Report Vizio is headquartered in the US, Irvine, California to be exact, but I believe it is a company in Taiwan that actually manufactures them. You'd be hard-pressed to find a TV company that actually manufactures their products in the US. Vizio is te closest to this that I know of, since they are a US-only company. Hope that helps! Mine failed exactly when the original warranty expired. I did purchase an extended warrany. It took months to get it back. The same defect in engineering caused a critical failure. VIZEO would not stand behind the product. They offered a replacement price that was the same price as "rebuilt" units on their site. Mind you you can not rebuild a screen. Nor an electrical component. You replace them. In the end they offered NOTHING to assist a customer with back to back defects. Needless to say I never purchased a VIZEO product ever again.
