With crossover success in both Hollywood and Asia, the bankable actor has earned his spot as one of the wealthiest entertainers of his generation.

In addition to the salaries he’s pulled as an in-demand action star, Jet Li has made smart investments over the years. He earned a lot of money as an investor in Hong Kong-based Far East Holdings International Ltd.

On top of his salary and stock earnings, Jet Li also has a lifestyle company, Taiji Zen, with retired Alibaba chairman Jack Ma.

Being a well-connected man with an established track record in the industries of film, finance and eCommerce has undoubtedly helped Jet Li became the wealthy man he is today.

Since 2013, Li is rarely working. Since 2010, he has been battling spinal problems and hyperthyroidism. His hyperthyroidism in particular causes fatigue and weight loss.

And, let’s be honest, with that nine-figure fortune and decades of career success behind him? The guy can afford to take some time off and focus on his health.

However, grateful fans will relish the chance to see him in a film again soon. Jet Li will make a rare on-film appearance with his new role as The Emperor in the live-action Mulan remake.

They’ll need to stay patient though, because Disney has pushed back the film’s release until July 2020.

Whenever we see Jet Li on screen, we’re grateful for his amazing contributions to the worlds of film, finance and martial arts.

He’s another guy that proves being short isn’t any limitation on the size of your success. We salute you Jet Li!
