“King Richard″ will not have a conventional release.
Instead, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be made available to HBO Max subscribers on Friday, Nov. 19 at 3 a.m. This means HBO Max subscribers will be able to see the film as it premieres in theaters on Friday.

“King Richard″ will premiere on HBO Max on Friday, Nov. 19 at 3 a.m.
To watch, sign up for a subscription by going to HBO Max’s website. The streaming service is available on Amazon’s app store, Apple’s app store, Google Play, and Samsung TV, as well as most internet and digital providers.
You can watch the streaming service from most devices, such as PS4, Xbox One, Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV. After a long, controversial stalemate, HBO Max is now also available on Roku. A comprehensive list can be found here.
What is HBO Max?
HBO Max is a streaming subscription service that offers a wide variety of TV shows and movies on-demand.
The service offers up to five viewer profiles, with tons of curated selections for adults and kids, the option to download content and the ability to stream on many devices.
How much does HBO Max cost?
HBO Max costs $14.99 per month, or $9.99 to watch with commercials, via a subscription that can be canceled at any time. HBO Max also offers an annual subscription for $119.99, which is a 25% savings. (There is also a $99.99 annual option featuring commercials.)
However, it is important to note that “King Richard” will only be available to those with the full, $14.99 subscription.
As of December, HBO Max is no longer offering a free trial to subscribers. This is likely due to the number of movies that will be premiering on the service in 2021.
What time will ‘King Richard’ be released and available to stream?
“King Richard” will be available to stream on HBO Max beginning at 3 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 19.
How long will ‘King Richard’ be on HBO Max?
Once the film is released, viewers can watch “King Richard″ as many times as they want, unless they cancel their subscription. There will be no extra charge for access to it.
However, the film will only be available for 31 days after its theatrical release before it is removed from the service. At that point, the only way to see it will be in theaters.

“King Richard” is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, and stars Will Smith, Aunjanue Ellis, Saniyya Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, and Jon Bernthal.
