The Kyler Murray sleuths are standing tall — though their argument may still be a reach.

Disbelievers of the quarterback’s recorded 5-foot-10 ¹/₈ height took aim at a photo posted from the NFL Players Association’s rookie premiere over the weekend.

Murray, standing front-left among his peers, was placed next to former Oklahoma Sooners teammate and now-Baltimore Raven Marquise Brown, who is 5-foot-9 — leading to people comparing their heights.

Some argue it’s bonafide proof Murray isn’t what the numbers claim he is.

“Kyler murray is literally 5’8 mans got gifted 2 inches,” one Twitter user wrote.

Murray was listed a bit taller than most thought at the NFL Combine in February, as his height loomed large given the position he plays and hype following his Heisman Trophy win. He declined to be measured at Oklahoma’s Pro Day, though the Arizona Cardinals seemed not to mind, making the former Oakland Athletics first-round pick their own with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

It seems Murray in this photo is leaning forward, or is he crouching? It’s impossible to tell. As it was when Twitter was up in arms on draft night, when Murray appeared nearly head-to-head with Melissa Stark, the 5-foot-4 NFL Network host who later said her heels did not boost her six inches.

It all may not matter, for as one onlooker put it on Twitter, “Kyler still about to ball out.”
