On the inevitable 104th day of summer vacation, the season is quickly coming to an end, and it's Candace's last chance to bust her brothers; who build huge playground equipment for the finale of summer. She is quickly foiled, but when she goes to return a DVD to Vanessa, she finds an opportunity to redo the day, which results in rips in the space-time continuum, the shortening of days and the disappearance of her brothers.

Act I[]
"We got one last day of summer, let's have some serious fun."
On the morning of the 104th and last day of summer vacation before they all go back to school, Phineas and Ferb invite the rest of the gang on a hoverboard ride across Danville.
Candace wakes up just in time to hear her brother say his catch phrase and shouts to the gang that she intends to bust them once and for all. Candace is especially determined to bust them since this is the final day of summer vacation, but she trips on a roller skate, and a skateboard, and rolls down the stairs and lands into a wagon. Linda and Lawrence read the newspaper about a new tiger habitat at the Danville Zoo. Candace wheels into the dining room to hear that Linda has to do some errands to get ready for school resuming the following day.
Candace is starting the day on the wrong foot, with two skateboards.
In the backyard, Phineas and the gang determine to do something big since they have one more chance to find a good way to spend summer vacation. Phineas shows the gang a massive blueprint. Buford then wonders where Perry is.
Agent P enters his lair the very same way he entered it on the first day of summer. He enters his lair to discover that Carl already left for college, so Major Monogram has to do his own inserts manually. Monogram tells Agent P that he suspects Doofenshmirtz will do one last big evil scheme to take over the Tri-State Area. The manual inserts come apart and Monogram lashes out at Carl, only to remember that he's already heading for school. As Monogram mopes over Carl's absence, Agent P goes straight to his mission.
Act II[]
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Doof wakes up in his bed but hits his head on the lamp, which he disintegrates. Norm comes in to give him some chocolate cake for breakfast, much to his annoyance. He gets out of bed to see Vanessa coming to talk to him, but Doof does not have the time since he has a big to-do list, so Vanessa leaves him alone.
This final invention has everything! Kitchen sink included!
Back in the backyard, Phineas reveals the big idea, an enormous tribute to every single thing they did over the summer. Buford wonders if it really is worthy of a grand finale. Phineas suggests they make sure that they hit the mark. Buford at first suggests they focus test it, but Phineas suggests they ride it. The gang rides on the contraption, which encompasses various fun and surreal things. Candace walks out and calls her mom. Baljeet reveals the reaction to the ride is almost unanimous, but Buford suggests some improvements. Phineas decides to go back to the drawing board, so Ferb transforms the ride into a drawing board. Candace and Linda come into the yard just in time to see nothing there and for Candace to once again "but but but". Candace decides to return some DVDs she borrowed from Vanessa.
Doof explains the Do-Over-inator to Candace.
Agent P arrives at DEI and immediately gets trapped in the bass drum of Norm's drumset. Doofenshmirtz explains to his nemesis that he realized that his goal of ruling the Tri-State Area was all for naught since it turned out there was no such position. So he unveils his newest inator, the Tri-Governor-inator, which will make him "Tri-Governor", a term he made up to mean the Ruler of the Tri-State Area. Perry escapes from his trap and fights Doofenshmirtz, but then the doorbell rings. Vanessa answers it to see Candace at the door. Upon seeing this, Perry runs and hides, as he doesn't want his cover to be blown. Candace returns the DVDs and vents to her about her failed busting attempt. Candace walks into the lair while Vanessa gets some tea. Candace then talks to Doof about her failure to bust her brothers, but Doof does not listen since he is looking for his nemesis. Candace then sits on one of Doof's inators, which he gets her off of. Doof explains that it is the Do-Over-Inator, which is able to do the day over again through a time loop. Candace is intrigued by this and believes that she might have a chance of busting her brothers. Without hesitation, Candace activates the -inator, and a bubble appears surrounding herself and Doofenshmirtz.
Suddenly, Candace finds herself back in her bed waking up to her alarm clock. When Phineas tells her that it is the last day of summer, Candace is elated to have one more chance to bust her brothers, but, once again, she slips and falls down the stairs. She finds herself reciting along with her parents, but they laugh it off as a philosophical thing.
Meanwhile, Doof also finds himself back in his own bed, confused why the lamp is back and Norm is once again offering him chocolate cake for breakfast. When he gets out of bed and sees Vanessa in the hallway again, he realizes the Do-Over-inator worked and he has a chance to improve his traps. But Vanessa is aggravated that her father is not listening and tells him she is permanently moving to her mother's.
Act III[]
Candace and Doof singing.
Upon hearing of Vanessa's last words being recorded by Norm, Doofenshmirtz jumps to the conclusion that Vanessa is moving out simply because she thinks he is a loser. He figures that if he finally becomes the Tri-Governor, he can get Vanessa to move in with him. Both Candace and Doof celebrate the awesome power of the Do-Over-inator.
Candace walks into the backyard when the gang reveal the blueprints and tells them this time that she will get her mom instead of calling her. After hearing Candace refer to the invention as "sky-high", Phineas gets an idea on how to improve it.
Perry gets trapped in the bass drum again, only this time, he rolls past Norm's drum set, escapes, and gets trapped in a giant skull. Perry escapes that trap as well and immediately hits the self-destruct button on the Tri-Governor-inator. Despite this, Doof states that as long as the Do-Over-Inator is activated, he will still find a way to defeat Perry.
Candace once again brings her mom to the backyard, only to discover once again there is truly nothing there. Once she leaves, it is revealed that Phineas and the gang decided to levitate the invention.
Candace wakes up from her bed a third time and realizes the day is once again repeating itself. This time, she attempts to avoid the roller skate, but still manages to slip onto a third roller skate and once again fall down the stairs. This time, Candace practically pushes her mom out the door.
Doofenshmirtz once again wakes up, but this time, he avoids the lamp. He tells Norm to "stuff it", so Norm eats the cake himself. Vanessa once again tries to talk to her father, but he too busy once again making improvements to his traps.
Doof keeps trying to make improvements on his traps.
After Perry gets trapped in and escapes the skull, he gets trapped in a metal box, and Doofenshmirtz encases himself in a giant hamster ball. Perry escapes the trap and rolls Doofenshmirtz around the room. Norm offers some muffins, but they suddenly disappear into thin air.
A time rift makes spoons disappear from existence.
Candace once again wakes up, and this time avoids all the things with wheels and once again pushes her mom out the door. As soon as she leaves, the spoon that Lawrence was eating cereal with disappears just like the muffins. Lawrence shrugs it off and laps at his cereal like a dog.
When Candace enters the backyard, she tells the gang she is going to bust them "out of this world", which brings further inspiration. During a montage, we see the various other ways both Candace fails to bust her brothers and Doof fails to trap Perry, each one weirder than the last.
Doofenshmirtz Tri-Governor's Mansion.
After 23 loops, Doofenshmirtz ensures that he finally perfected his trap. He asks Norm for some muffins, but Norm is confused because he does not know what a muffin is, which made Doof realize that the effects of the Do-Over-inator are creating time rifts in the space-time continuum that can erase anything from existence. After Perry is finally trapped (off-screen), Doof fires his inator at City Hall, which replaces the dome with a Tri-Governor's Mansion, much to his delight. He then proceeds to put up a voting booth to get the citizens to vote for him for the upcoming election.
Candace once again walks into the kitchen but then notices her parents both lapping at their cereals. She discovers that they do not know what a spoon is nor what tigers are. Things get even stranger when she notices her mother wearing green cargo shorts in place of her normal capri pants. Candace then starts to suspect that something is going very wrong.
Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz talks to Vanessa about her intent to move out and shows her the news about the election. His younger brother Mayor Roger is about to publicly announce the final results, only to find out in horror that Doof has gained enough votes to win. A victorious Doof assumes that his daughter will want to live with him now that he has finally succeeded in his goal, but Vanessa isn't impressed by this. She tries to tell that what he assumes isn't the case, but she is interrupted again when Doof tells her to pack up her things as he runs off to turn off the Do-Over-inator to ensure that there won't be any more loops. However, a time rift sucks up the Do-Over-inator, so Doof assumes that since the machine is already erased from existence, there will be no more loops. He proceeds to move in to the Tri-Governor's Mansion with an unimpressed Vanessa.
Candace watches as her brothers disappear from existence.
Candace runs to the backyard and asks her brothers to help her. She explains that she activated the -inator and days are repeating and things are disappearing. However, another rift appears and suck her brothers, much to Candace's dismay. She goes to her mom to tell her what happened, but Linda is confused because she has not heard of anyone named "Phineas" and "Ferb".
Act IV[]
Horrified to see that her mother doesn't even remember having two sons, Candace tries to explain the situation to Linda, but the latter is still very confused, much to Candace's complete frustration.
Meanwhile, in the Tri-Governor's Mansion, Doofenshmirtz proudly shows Vanessa her own First Daughter suite. Though Vanessa somewhat admires the new features of the suite, she tries to tell her father the true reason why she's moving out. However, Melanie comes in to tell Doof that he has a lot of things to do as the new Tri-Governor since his work schedule is crowded, much to Vanessa's dismay.
Phineas and Ferb wandering around a colorless void.
In a rather gray and colorless void that resembles Danville, Phineas and Ferb are wandering around and taking in their surroundings. They suddenly discover the things that disappeared including spoons and capri pants. They then see oranges coming down from the sky and hear something roaring in the distance, presumably tigers.
Candace goes to Isabella's backyard to see that the gang still know each other, but can't stand each other. Buford and Baljeet have no idea who Candace is and Isabella thinks she is an only child. Candace then tries to explain the situation to the gang, but they are unperturbed by this.
Doofenshmirtz has finally taken over the Tri-State Area and Perry is forced to accept defeat.
In his new office, Doofenshmirtz awaits the arrival of a furious Perry (who has inexplicably escaped from his unknown trap). Doof reveals that he has put up a law that declares it illegal for Perry and the rest of O.W.C.A. to thwart the Tri-Governor until his term is over, and that it's been declared legal. To prove his point, Doof presents out the legislation paper to Perry. Realizing that he can no longer thwart Doof anymore, a depressed Perry is forced to concede defeat and leave the mansion in shame. Doof also proclaims that he will send Perry a bill for burning the carpet with his jet-pack. Roger then contacts Doof through the intercom, berating him for having Melanie to work for him, but Doof taunts him back by saying that he still has to answer to him. After being given a stack of more legislation papers to sign, Doof notices another time rift sucking up his snow-globe and orders Melanie to bring in another one, only to find out in horror that Melanie doesn't even know what a snow-globe is. He then realizes that even with the Do-Over-inator gone, the time rifts are still erasing a lot of things from existence.
Back in the void, Phineas and Ferb collect all of the things that dropped into it. Suddenly, they see the tigers and then snowglobes falling from the sky. They run away from the impending danger.
Candace attempts to convince the gang to help her.
Candace is still trying to convince the gang that she had two brothers and that they are friends with them. Using his contraption, Baljeet then notices some fluctuations in the space-time continuum and explains about the risks that the time rifts are causing that will erase anything from existence. Candace attempts to use this to prove her point to Buford and Isabella, but they are still not convinced.
Meanwhile, outside the Tri-Governor's Mansion, Monogram informs a miserable Perry about Doof's anti-thwarting legislation, confirming that it is legitimate and that they can no longer touch Doof anymore. Monogram regretfully adds that as a result of this occasion, Perry is temporarily suspended from work until Doof's term is up. Vanessa sees Perry moping over his failure and reveals her true reason why she's moving: she was accepted into O.W.C.A.'s internship program, but that she can't join it if she's living with her father (who happens to be one of O.W.C.A.'s wanted enemies). Vanessa then decides to tell him and convince him to let her do things her way, and Perry wishes her luck.
Back in Isabella's backyard, Baljeet is giving further explanations of the rifts in the space-time continuum. Only Candace is intrigued as she is aware of the effects, but Isabella and Buford are still not convinced as they are bored out of their minds.
Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb decide to distract the tigers by giving them a giant ball of yarn made of all the suspenders and capri pants. The plan works, and both boys run off, still planning on how to get home.
Vanessa helps her father realize that despite his newfound success as Tri-Governor, he is terrible at being an "evil" scientist.
After finishing up his work schedule as Tri-Governor, Doof returns to Vanessa's suite, where Vanessa finally tells him about the internship and that she still has to move out. Doof is completely shocked by this, but Vanessa states that the only reason he builds his -inators is simply to prove that he is evil, but that he only acts evil only as an obligation to his miserable childhood, not from what's coming from his heart. She also confesses that the internship is something she really wants to do and asks her father if he's really happy with his new job as Tri-Governor. Doofenshmirtz then realizes that despite his newfound success as Tri-Governor, he is actually unhappy in ruling the Tri-State Area. Vanessa then suggests to her father to turn over a new leaf and become a good guy.
Before Doof could do anything, the loop starts over again, and Doof and Candace find themselves back in their beds, much to their distraught. However, finally aware of Vanessa's true intentions, Doofenshmirtz tells Vanessa that he knows all about the internship and that he is turning over a new leaf for her sake. Vanessa is a little freaked out by this, but satisfied. Finally deciding that he needs to stop the time loops, Doof tells his daughter he plans to build one more -inator, the Time-Straighten-Out-inator, which will help straighten the space-time continuum.
Candace brings the very sleepy and grumpy Isabella and Buford to the equally sleepy Baljeet's house. Once again, Baljeet and Buford have no idea who Candace is, and still cannot stand each other. Candace gets the device Baljeet was measuring the space-time continuum with and gives it to him. Baljeet is horrified to see how unstable it is. Candace once again tells them the situation of her missing brothers. Baljeet suggests that they can find the location of the next rift and throw a rope and life preserver into it to rescue them.
As Doof and his daughter begin to build the -inator, Doof explains to Vanessa about the Do-Over-inator's effects, and that he and Candace are the only ones to notice the effects because they were inside the bubble when it was first activated. Right on Doof's cue, Perry comes in expecting a trap, but Doof tells him he turned over a new leaf and needs his help. Perry, not really believing his frenemy, reluctantly provides his assistance.
Candace and the gang await the next time rip to appear so they can rescue Phineas and Ferb.
After a few last-minute calculations, Baljeet discovers the next tear in the fabric, and it sucks up a groundhog. Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb do some calculations of their own to try to find their way out, but the groundhogs mess up their calculations. In Danville Park, Baljeet finds the location of another anomaly. Candace throws the life preserver into it and calls out to her brothers to grab it, but the rope pulls Candace and the gang into the void.
Act V[]
Doof, Vanessa and Perry finish building the inator, but another loop begins before they can activate it.

Candace, Buford, Baljeet, and Isabella fall into the void and are greeted by the strange triangle-headed boy and the quiet green-haired guy next to him. Isabella suddenly looks at the triangle-headed boy and all the memories of her secret crush come back to her. Baljeet has a similar experience with spoons as does Buford with oranges. Candace is so overjoyed to see her brothers again. Baljeet believes that the void they are in exists outside the flow of time and Candace reveals to him that the days were getting shorter. This worries Baljeet because as the time pocket disappears from existence, everything else in the void will also cease to exist, including the entire gang.
Doof once again meets his daughter and once again begins building the Time-Straighten-Out-inator. Perry comes in to help once again as well.
The time catapult built by the gang to get them out of the void.
Baljeet demonstrates the cause and effect of the shrinking of the space-time continuum with a paper towel and a hook. He then begins to wonder how Candace was unaffected by this and how she knew. Candace just nervously looks at the others and tells them not to question it. Baljeet then tells them that something has to be built to stop the looping once and for all. Buford then sees the Do-Over-inator, but Candace inadvertently reveals what it is. She finally confesses to the gang she was the one who pushed the button because she was so eager to bust her brothers. Buford suggests pushing the self-destruct button to negate the effects, but Baljeet warns that if they push it in the void, they will be no more time rifts to travel through, meaning that they will be unable to go back to Danville and be forgotten forever. He suggests finding a way to get both themselves and the inator through one of the rifts back to Danville so that they can push the button and destroy the machine. As such, Phineas and the gang get to work building a catapult. Buford dubs it The Buford Van Stomm Time Catapult. The gang gets into the catapult and Baljeet makes a calculation of multiple rifts coming. The rifts appear and cars begin to fall out of the sky. After Baljeet gives the coordinates, and Phineas adjusts the catapult, they launch themselves toward the rift, which appears in the nick of time and sucks them in.
Act VI[]
Doof rambles on about the risks of the Time-Straighten-Out-inator.
Doofenshmirtz, Vanessa and Perry finish the inator faster than before. Doof tells the others the 55% of chance will lead to success, but Vanessa wonders what the 45% entails. Her father explains that 45% might bring about wiping everything from existence.
The gang make their return to the backyard, but the inator lands on the far side of the fence. Candace and the others run up to the inator. Phineas asks for a confirmation from Baljeet that destroying the inator will put everything back to normal. Baljeet confirms this and says they need to do it quickly since the time loops are getting shorter.
Suddenly, the time loop begins at the point where Doof and the others finished the inator. Doof once again gives the percentages. He assures Vanessa it is only a worst-case scenario. Vanessa then wonders what happens if they don't push, to which her father explains that if that happens the time pocket will be destroyed, but rambles too long.
Phineas and the gang make it back in time.
Meanwhile, Phineas and the gang's time loop begins at the point where they returned to the backyard. They once again attempt to run up to the inator, but their time loop isn't long enough.
Once again, Doof recaps all three of the percentages. He then asks Perry if he has any concerns, but before he can make the digga-digga-digga sound, the time loop ends again.
Phineas and the gang land in the backyard again. Candace then sees a spoon tucked into her skirt and gets an idea.
Doof shortens his spiel to saying that there is a lot of risk involved, but ensures the others this is their only option. Vanessa and Perry assure him they are with him.
Candace throws the spoon at the self-destruct button, and Doof pushes the button on the inator. Both Candace and Doof spin around in a blue vortex, thereby successfully ending the loops and bringing everything back to normal. This is confirmed when Linda comes out offering orange juice, which Lawrence squeezed with a spoon.
Meanwhile, Doof gets reassurance that everything is back to normal when Norm comes in with muffins. Doof then wonders what he'll do next, since he is not good at being a good guy. Vanessa then tells him that OWCA is looking for some new recruits. Perry then discovers the inator was not plugged in, wondering what could've stopped the loops.
"It's been a great summer and we thank you for comin' along!"
In the backyard, Phineas, Candace and the gang are enjoying their orange juice and sharing their favorite memories of their summer. They continue to bond and reminisce. At one point, Phineas and Ferb fist bump each other. Even Candace gives Phineas a noogie and laughs along with the gang. Meanwhile, Perry, Doof, Vanessa and Norm do some reminiscing of their own while enjoying some muffins.
After a camera pan up to the summer sun, the backyard becomes a concert stage where all of the main characters, with some backup from the Fireside Girls, sing and dance about their awesome summer and bid all their fans and viewers, “Thank you for comin’ along!”

After "Curtain Call/Time Spent Together" ends, Linda calls everyone into the house for pie, and they enter in order: Baljeet, Buford, Isabella, Candace, Ferb, and Phineas. Candace does the "I'm watching you" sign to her brothers, but then smiles as Phineas and Ferb wink at her then Perry then goes in after Candace. The credits end, but, after that, before entering, Phineas comes back out and waves goodbye to the audience one more time then closes the door. Until next time...

The characters acknowledge events that occurred in the series that they normally would not know about, such as the events of Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, and events that chronologically take place after this episode, such as "Doof 101", "Druselsteinoween", and "Act Your Age" and in fact, the song also has the characters singing to the audience, thanking them for watching. At the end of the song, Phineas waves goodbye to the audience before closing the door. During the song, Phineas also mentions that "Unfair Science Fair" has "two parts".
Doof is O.W.C.A.'s Public Enemy #3.
Stacy and Jeremy do not make an appearance, and this was because the creators wanted this episode to focus more on the main characters and not the supporting characters.[2] (This despite the appearance of the semi-recurring character of Melanie and Roger, a supporting character, making an appearance.)
Candace asks Vanessa why the mime kept letting go of a balloon in the French films she watched. This is most likely a nod to the same thing happening in "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You" (those films are also mentioned in "Night of the Living Pharmacists").
Second and final time main characters are represented by their voice actors on screen. A live-action photo of Ashley Tisdale (the voice of Candace) previously filled in for Candace in "Lights, Candace, Action!".
This episode initially served as the series finale, and, by extension, the end of summer vacation. Even though the theme song refers to summer vacation lasting "104 days," the series actually lasts for 222 episodes, or "days" if you assume that the gang has one adventure per day (221 if you don't count "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars", which specifically states that it isn't canon).
Although, in 2023, it was announced that thanks to an overall deal with Povenmire, the series would be revived for two more seasons, along with a second season of Hamster & Gretel. The fifth season was originally set to premiere in 2024, but was later delayed to 2025.
Candace has already seen Perry fighting Dr. Doofenshmirtz in "The Ballad of Badbeard", "Leave the Busting to Us!", "Bowl-R-Ama Drama" and "Wizard of Odd", so it's possible she had some idea of what Dr. Doofenshmirtz was talking about when he mentioned his nemesis to her, even though Perry hid out just a few seconds after she opened the door. This could make Candace an unintentional accomplice for giving Dr. Doof enough do-overs to trap Perry 23 times.
After giving up evil on the last day of summer, Dr. Doofenshmirtz would continue his redemption arc in "O.W.C.A. Files" and most of Milo Murphy's Law's second season fleshing out the challenges he faces to doing good for the sake of doing good, but he eventually returned to his evil ways in "Summer Block Buster".
In the future, "Act Your Age" had Dr. Doofenshmirtz set off O.W.C.A.'s old inator alert with his Midlife-Crisis-inator, causing Carl to think Doof returned to his evil ways ten years after becoming a high school science teacher in "Doof 101".

During "Serious Fun":
When Phineas is singing "One last day in the sun" to Baljeet, his hair disappears briefly.
The sky color changes when they arrive at Buford's house.
Isabella's hoverboard has a jet engine, but in the other parts song, the engine is missing. In the other parts of the song, it can be seen again.
When Linda says, "Which means back to school errands for me...", her left arm suddenly goes from at her side to pointing with no in between animation.
Just before the boys reveal their big idea, a patch of Buford's pants below his left hand is red instead of brown.
During "There's No One I'd Rather Go Nowhere With" there's a brief moment where Isabella's belt is the same color as her dress.
How did Candace change in one second?
During "When Tomorrow is This Morning Again", Candace is in her bedroom with pajamas on. After she exits, she is wearing her normal clothes.
In the multiple scenes where Vanessa is trying to tell her dad about her O.W.C.A internship after Doofenshmirtz walked out of his bedroom, different backgrounds could be seen.
Soon after arriving in Nullville, Phineas says, "I hope no one at home is planning to baste a turkey while wearing suspenders and capri pants." But we don't see any suspenders until later (when Ferb uses them to tie together a big bouncy ball of capri pants), and turkey basters aren't seen until the other kids arrive in Nullville, where Phineas and Ferb are using them as writing implements.
When Candace explains the disappearance of her brothers to the gang, as Baljeet is scanning temporal time rifts, his right arm is superimposed over his jumper.
After Phineas and Ferb disappeared from existence, Candace's alarm should not have had Phineas' voice saying, "I know what we're gonna do today."
Baljeet asks who "that girl in the bathrobe" is, but Candace is wearing her pajamas, not a bathrobe.
When Baljeet says "Who's that girl in the bathrobe?", Isabella's bow intermittently changes color to purple instead of pink.
The cosine of 84.7 is not 17 as stated by Candace, but rather 0.09237 (if measured in degrees) or -0.99244 (if measured in radians). Candace may have accidentally inputted the tangent of 86.7 though, since that would give 17.34315 if measured in degrees.
When Baljeet is remembering what spoons are, he remembers a scene from "Mind Share". That is impossible because he was in jail.
On the Closed Captions of the episode, when Candace throws the capri pants, Buford's "Hey!" line was entitled to Phineas.
During the final loop, Baljeet is missing.
When the gang is seen cheering after seeing oranges and spoons return, Phineas seems to open his mouth to say, "Yeah!", but nothing is heard.
The captions also almost completely mess up the lyrics for "Curtain Call/Time Spent Together".
During the song "Curtain Call/Time Spent Together":
At some points of the song, Adyson's headband has the same color as her hair.
Candace and Baljeet's microphone stands repeatedly disappears and then reappears again.
Some characters' mouths do not move, although their voices can be heard during certain parts of the song.
In the very last scene, when Phineas closes the door after waving to the audience, it closes facing forward, not diagonal with the wall bindings.
If Phineas and Ferb is actually restricted to a single summer, then Dr. Doofenshmirtz giving up evil doesn't last in the winter episodes after this, nor the Halloween episode. However, Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, "Cheers for Fears", and "The Klimpaloon Ultimatum" have already shown themselves to take place after said winter episodes, so it may not be completely out of the question to reference Hockey Z-9 in the ending song. That said, Dr. Doofenshmirtz has also tried giving up evil before but ends up returning to evil "Lights, Candace, Action!", "Agent Doof", so is possible that he went back to evil sometime before the said Halloween episode.
According to Dan Povenmire, one of the said winter episodes relapses on Dr. Doofenshmirtz's journey to becoming good again, which may explain him being evil in those episodes as well.
The series revival is confirmed to be taking place one year later in a whole brand new summer. As seen in the first episode, Dr. Doofenshmirtz has returned to evil.
When this episode aired on Disney XD on June 23, 2015 during the commercial breaks, the Disney XD announcer says that the audience is watching Zeke and Luther, not Phineas and Ferb. He says "We'll be right back with Zeke and Luther on Disney XD" and "Now back to Zeke and Luther on Disney XD".

The Langoliers - In an interview with GeekMom.com, Dan and Swampy say this episode was inspired by this Stephen King novel. However, contrary to Dan's statement, the novel was not written by King as Richard Bachman.
Back to the Future Part II - Phineas and the gang's hoverboard are similar to Marty McFly's hoverboard in that movie.
George Washington - In one part of the boys' Big Idea, the story of George Washington chopping down a cherry tree is visually reproduced.
The Red Balloon - Similar to "Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!" Candace refers to a mime releasing a red balloon into the air, paying homage to the popular French short film, Le Ballon Rouge (English: The Red Balloon).
Groundhog Day - Candace waking up to her alarm and realizing that she's reliving the same day is very similar to Phil Conners waking up to "I Got You Babe" and realizing he's living the same day in this film. Also, the groundhogs getting sucked into the anomaly is a wink to the holiday, specifically the moment when Ferb says: "I hope that doesn't mean six more weeks of Nullville".
A Christmas Carol - Candace says to Phineas, "You there, boy, what day is it?" in reference to what Ebenezer Scrooge asks in the ending of this Dickens novella.
Doctor Who (series 5) - Holes in space-time eat people and things, causing everybody else to forget about them, and only the tall red-head remembers. Additionally, the time loop animation that restarts each day is a clear reference to the 12th Doctor's title sequence used in Series 8 and 9.
The Twilight Zone - People and objects disappearing from not only existence but from other people's memories is also nearly identical to The Twilight Zone episode "And When The Sky Was Opened".
"The Muffin Man" - Doof sings this traditional nursery rhyme.
The Jeffersons - Doofenshmirtz tells Vanessa that they're "Movin' on up.", which is a line from this show's theme song.
Lost - The flash sequences of Isabella remembering Phineas and Baljeet remembering the spoon are very similar to the flash sequences of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Hurley and other heroes in the "flash-sideways world"/afterlife remembering their past lives in the second half of Season 6 of this ABC channel TV series, mainly in the series finale "The End".
United States Marine Corps - Vanessa tells her father that OWCA is "looking for a few good animals". This is a reference to the Marines' advertising slogan, "We're looking for a few good men". The phrase was further popularized by the 1992 film A Few Good Men.
The Backyardigans - The ending scene of the episode bears a resemblance to how each episode of said show ended, with the characters entering home for lunch, with a character briefly opening the door again after everyone else has entered (in this case, Phineas).

Candace and Phineas knew "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted" was happened inside Candace's dream, which was happened inside of Perry's dream. Although they should've been aware of Perry's cover life, they do not mention it.
In "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown" when Perry was on a music clip show for Phineas and Ferb's songs as Agent P, in front of a live audience that included Irving, Ferb knew Perry was in this clip show and told Phineas.
However, this could only be a non-canon feature, presenting the conclusion of the entire series.
