This is an article describing the general ideas that levels have. For a list of levels, check the Level Navbox or the category page.

Levels (also called Kitchens or Stages) are the main focus of the Overcooked! series. They are the core of all of the games. Each level has different arrangements of Countertops, Cookware, Kitchen utensils and so on. Most of them have only one recipe type, but there are some with 2 or more.

General Goals

Levels are beaten by delivering as much Orders as possible in the set amount of time for the kitchen (usually 3 to 4 minutes). There are stars to be collected by reaching score milestones in each level.

In Overcooked! 2, completing hidden quests in levels results in unlocking Kevin Levels.

Kevin Level

Kevin Levels are special levels named after Kevin which are initially hidden, needing to be unlocked by completing a specific challenge in a normal level. All Kevin Levels have Dumplings as their recipe.

Dynamic Levels

Dynamic Levels always have quirks in them that change up the kitchens completely. Other than that they act exactly the same as Normal Levels.

2-2 (Overcooked! 2 Surf 'n' Turf)	Chefs are on a Ravenous Rapids-esque platform that flows down a river with random patterns of Ingredient Boxes and Service Counters
3-4 (Overcooked! 2 Surf 'n' Turf)	The kitchen washes up three times, changing the Countertop layouts
3-4 (Overcooked! 2 Campfire Cookoff)	The kitchen flows away two times, changing the Countertop layouts and the Kitchen utensils' layouts

Horde Level

Horde Levels were introduced in the Night of the Hangry Horde DLC. The goal in these kitchens is to survive the Unbread, Zombie Chili Peppers and the Zombie Apples as they attack the kitchen through Service Barriers. Delivering the meals the Hangry Horde wants washes the horde away. The chefs need to avoid the Hangry Horde breaking down the kitchens to not lose health. There are multiple waves of the Hangry Hordes in each level, with breaks between them.

In later Horde Levels, Unlockable Gates are introduces. These have to be opened with money using the Action button, allowing the chefs to go through shortcuts, or access additional kitchen areas.

To fully complete horde levels, the chefs need to not lose any health and beat the kitchen. This will mark the tower on the flag white. Horde Levels are only playable in Story Mode.
