My kids love these! You can make these with salmon as well! This dish is pictured with sides including my Southern style potatoe salad and fresh green bean almondine, corn on the cob and Hawaiian rolls. I will be posting recipes of sides soon!

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 oz) cans makrel
  • 2 cups crushed saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • oil for frying

How To Make mackerel patties

  • Step 1 Drain makrel, debone and transfer to a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except oil; mix throughly and shape into patties.
  • Step 2 Fry in hot oil over medium high heat until golden brown.
  • Step 3 Drain on paper towels.
