The new Market Basket store in Warwick will open Friday.

The grand opening is set for 7 a.m. The store is located at 25 Pace Blvd.

Officials said there will be no ribbon cutting ceremony because of COVID-19 restrictions.

The 89,000-square-foot Warwick store is Market Basket's first in Rhode Island, and 85th overall. The chain was founded 104 years ago in Lowell, Massachusetts.

A second store is under construction in Johnston. An opening date has yet to be announced.

Market Basket also has stores in Fall River and Attleboro.
