How to multiply a 3-digit number by a 2-digit number?

1. Write the Numbers Vertically: Align the numbers by place value (ones, tens, hundreds).
2. Multiply by the Ones Digit: Multiply the 3-digit number by the ones digit of the 2-digit number. Write the result below the line.
3. Multiply by the Tens Digit: Multiply the 3-digit number by the tens digit of the 2-digit number. Write the result below the first product, but shift it one place to the left (add a zero at the end).
4. Add the Partial Products: Add the two results from steps 2 and 3 to get the final answer.
