Q. My library card is lost or stolen. How do I replace my library card?

Replace a lost, stolen, or damaged library card. Get a new card for free at any SFPL location.

If your library card is lost or stolen, contact us as soon as possible to report it. We will block your card so no one can use it. Provide your:

• library card number
• full name
• date of birth
• telephone number
• email address
• residence address

You can get a free replacement any SFPL location. Please bring your valid photo ID. There is no cost to get a Library Card, or to replace it.

When you replace your library card, you will get a new account number. If you have OverDrive and/or Hoopla Digital ebooks checked out, on hold, or any wish lists, library staff will need to manually transfer your ebooks to the new account number.
