Nevada Day Weekend November 1, 2025 – Wild Wild West Theme

That’s right, the Nevada Day parade will commence on November 1st this year, but the celebration spans all weekend, October 31-November 2nd!

THE LARGEST STATEHOOD CELEBRATION IN THE NATION

Each October (and sometimes November 1), Nevadans turn their attention to the state capital, Carson City, home of the “official” Nevada Day Parade. Since 1938, the Nevada Day Parade in Carson City has been an annual coming together to celebrate Nevada’s heritage and the founding of this great state on October 31, 1864! This holiday is dedicated to celebrating the resilience of Nevadans throughout their years of hardship and paying respect to the people responsible for their admission to the United States. Here in Carson City we celebrate our birthday big all weekend long!

CARSON CITY HISTORICAL SOCIETY NEVADA DAY EXHIBIT

The Nevada Appeal honors the newspaper that has chronicled the triumphs and trials of Nevadans since 1865. In harmony with that legacy, the Carson City Historical Society is proud to present the dramatic charcoal works of R. Merle Trehal, an adopted son of Nevada. Trehal’s art captures the essence of the frontier—miners laboring underground, wagon trains forging across the desert, raucous saloons, and the historic streets of Carson City and Virginia City. His images echo the same rugged spirit the Nevada Appeal has recorded for generations, offering a vivid portrayal of the Wild West that built our state. Join us during Nevada Day week at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum and Carriage House, where Trehal’s works will be on display alongside special exhibits honoring the Nevada Appeal. Guest speakers and guided tours will bring the Wild West to life.
