ah! apparently if you name yourself chara (either on pacifist or genocide) when you look at the mirror in toriel's house instead of 'its YOU!' it says 'it's me, chara' - rodeology. ▼

sounds like a false rumour to me! it only says “it’s me, chara” in the genocide route. here’s a screenshot from my soulless pacifist run, where i used the name chara:

here’s my screenshot folder from that route so you can see that, in my toriel fight just after, i’m still lv 1 (and i also have the name chara). you can tell by the file names they’re all in order:

here’s the genocide route one, also with the name chara:

in the genocide route, it says the exact same thing in the new home mirror (and in alphys’ lab). in the pacifist/neutral routes, the dialogue changes slightly in new home (and it changes again at the end of the pacifist route). it all references either “you” or “frisk”, though!
