2015年9月11日 20時52分 Pachy is kind of... useless? I want to start this off by saying I did not just log on here to rant about this guy, I want to see them really be useful so I'm here to give my feedback. Also to give my woes after losing friar tuck (my first pachy I tamed) moving on.Okay the base speed is really lack luster, for traveling over long distances the charge can make up for this, so it's not all bad I can live with it even though it's slower than a parasaur lol.Health pool/damage resistance. Wow this thing dies easily, my raptors at the same level didn't die this fast, and they're.... well, raptors lol the junk of the ark (I realise people like them, not saying don't use them, I'm just saying I'd rather have dilos than raptors lol).So after first glance I figured I'd open these puppies up and try to ko something around 300% damage level 44 pachy was my first tester. I tried to ko a stegosaurus, this ended really badly. 7 consecutive full speed charges and the stegosaurus was still standing and my pachy was at 50% hp from retaliation attacks as I ran in and out. I figured hey it must nearly be ko'd so I sat there headbutting it and got clipped under its neck. It proceeded to club friar tuck to death :( NO FRIAR TUCK!So now that friar tuck has died and I have gone and tamed 3 more pachys I get into a fight with 4 dilos between the levels of 7 and 41. In this fight I lost 2 of the 3 pachys (both sides were mate boosted) and only the male I was riding survived the fight.Gotta say, I'm not seeing the use for these guys. As a combat mount for pvp ko'ing the fact that the start animation takes about 1.5 seconds to run then it starts running makes it so that even if I could slightly turn as I run I'm never going to hit some one who's ready for it. As a combat mount for pve their health pool and damage are way too low to be used as a viable combat mount. As a scout they are way too slow to be useful, and as a koing mount their torpor damage is really REALLY bad, after 7 stings I can ko a 12 stego with a 44 scorp, and the scorps hp pool and damage resistance are higher.So what is their use? I could see the comedic value of smashing through a lowbies thatch hut yelling zoidbergs "woop woop woop woop" as I did so. However for any sort of practical use I can't find a place for these guys.What has everyone else' experience been with these critters? Trike usually comes as the first tame for a lot of people. Once you can get that sling you can ko one near your tribes new set up and throw narco berries and mejo/tinto berries on it. It becomes a HUGE help once it's tamed as with an okay sized tribe by the time it wakes up you'll have a saddle for it. From there you can use it to collect berries and even kill other creatures with ease for their meat and start working on narcotic stockpiles to powerlevel your tribe.Pachy I can't see myself using lol. I could put the trike on passive and sit it near a raptor to tank while I tranq the raptor. If I were to tame a pachy instead I'd be wasting resources on it as it can't ko parasaurs, it can't ko phiomias (unless you get a higher leveled pachy) and after the initial charge its normal headbutt will probably kill a raptor you're trying to knock out.I just can't see a reason to stop and try and get a pachy early game.Overall I think trike is just about everyone's first tame (unless you get an accidental dilo ko near your base and decide to feed it lol). It's really really easy to ko as it's really slow, the saddle you can get really early, and its utility is HUGE for early game. #32

Raptors fit inside most caves though.... The only cave I can think that a raptor won't fit is the NW cave that you have to crawl to get into and a pachy isn't going to fit in there. #33

Wise words to tell again. When guys restart the game from lvl 1, i guess at some point you will like the patchy.

Nope, will be the same progression as I've done a few times with friends before we settled on an unofficial. Find a starting location while spamming useless junk to level/stabbing dilos and dodos to death. Once the location is found lure a trike over and ko it with stones. Return to power leveling while the trike tames and farm the mats for the saddle. Build the saddle and harvest berries to make narcos to again power level and build up stuff to get your first raptors. Once some one reaches raptor level you use the trike to tank while everyone knocks the raptors out and use the trike to kill stegos etc.Once you have your raptors you can go whatever direction you want (usually head for mammoth from here although with the doed being added we might head for doed first now).I see no place for a pachy in its current state, not worth the time as it's not going to fill a specific roll.Again doesn't need to be a killing machine as I've stated a lot of times, but useful would be nice. Currently it's better to passive tank something with the trike and ko it with narc arrows. Less risk for me and my mount, faster ko and other utilities. Pachy doesn't fit (yet). Maybe it eventually will though. #34

Kinda seems weird to me if a pachy was faster than a raptor, pachy is a bit beefier where as raptors are very streamlined for speed and agility. I'd say more hp, less damage (currently fine at 10) but up their torpor, less speed but more stamina (meant to say more not less in my original statement) than the raptor and they'll be useful for early game. Currently I would just completely skip them if I had to start over, they're just not worth the time and resources early in the game.They're okay as a late game novelty creature though.

Yeah they are good trophies at most. They come in some nice colors. #35

Maybe in a tribe, personally I play solo and I usually have a good few levels between taming a trike and being able to make a saddle for it, Pachy might have been a good mount to bridge the gap in the meantime. #36

You're arguing for the usefulness of something based on a 120 kibble tame? Good god man I can make a utahraptor capable of killing an alpha carno, does that mean raptors are a useful combat mount outside early game? No it doesn't. ANYTHING is useful at 120 full kibble tame. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. #39

To be fair, it's role is as a plant eating knockout dino. That can be pretty useful in early game even when you have tranq arrows It'll allow you to knockout bigger animals more easily without having to glitch out the AI on terrain if you train it right. #40

any large dino that you would need this guy for the ko, it's not going to get a ko unless you got a really high level one, or got a kibble tamed one that's around 80. Anything else like a stego, trike, mammoth you don't need to clip on anything. Xbow + tranq arrows will get it before you need to tranq it. If it's something like a carno +, get on a mammoth, trike etc. to tank it and ko it with the xbow cause your pachy is gonna get wrecked, after that first hit you're not going to get distance between yourself and that carno for a second ram.I still stand by my earlier statements. Unless you want to cheese it and use it to ko small stuff for amusement it's not useful. 1k torpor is not enough to warrant the time and effort to get the kibble and tame this thing as unless you're attacking a trike, ankylo or stego you're not going to get more than 1 ram in the pachy is just too slow. As I've already said, either boost the torpor or boost the speed. This thing is not going to find a place in a natural progression in its current state, it's just too poor at its job. This is excluding novelty use (koing small stuff in 1 ram for laughs) and using it in some sort of RP manner.I'd like it to take a real place on a pvp server as part of the natural progression. As it stands the stuff it can hurt (wood, thatch) which gives it its 1 current viable purpose will be skipped by 99% of the player base in the future due to the ease of getting stone with a doed.Again its current use is a nice novelty creature like the monkey. Don't get me wrong I love my monkey, but he's a useless sob lol #41

Not sure where you got 1k torpor, my 1004% one did about 500 torpor. Also even it had trouble killing a level 17 raptor. #43

Actually the 3 Pachy's weren't broken at all, all 3 of them were attacking the raptor head-on at the same time. But they still all died to it and it was only level 16. The raptor wasn't even that bloody, either. It isn't easy to get kibble by the way, it's a huge pain in the ass unless you have 20 mate-boosted animals for the egg you need and a bunch of crops for the tier 2 plants. Not to mention meat jerky. #44
