Jrockstangs i am about to buy a set of full cj doors..will they fit my yj with a hard top??? please help:surrender: #1 · Jan 5, 2012 i am about to buy a set of full cj doors..will they fit my yj with a hard top??? please help:surrender: CJ7 full doors will generally fit a YJ Jeep Wrangler, especially if they have paddle-style handles. However, CJ5 doors will not fit due to size differences. Some modifications, like adjusting the striker plate, might be needed for older CJ7 doors with swing handles. Also, the rear glass from a CJ7 hardtop can fit a YJ hardtop, but you might need to temporarily remove the spare tire for clearance when opening the glass. Rebuild kits for the doors, including seals and window scrubbers, can be found on eBay. But like Nubby said CJ-5 doors won't fit. #4 · Jan 5, 2012 awesome...cj7 full doors for $30 bucks...rear hatch glass in great shape $20 bucks...im super stoked to get them on tomorrow...just got back with it all...woohoo!! cant beat those deals thanks guys #5 · Jan 5, 2012 Make sure that they have the paddle style handles #6 · Jan 5, 2012 '86 CJ doors on a '94 YJ I have '86 CJ doors on a '94 YJ. The paddles are the same. The window cranks are different. The gear pattern on the broaching(gears) is different. I upgraded my doors with new rubbers, rebuilt the window mechanism, replaced locks, new panels, and added the new arm rests instead of the straps. That was a great deal. Good for you. Good luck.:punk:

Incredible! If my hard doors looked like that I'd be more inclined to use them. Haha... no I won't. Topless / Doorless ALL DAY! :punk: Show more replies 0 Reply #8 · Jan 5, 2012 The early swing handles will work also. You must remove the catch stud and add a small striker plate to the body...I have '70's cj7 doors on my '90 yj.And those are Romanian AK47 leather slings cut for the door pulls:punk: Image Image Image #9 · Jan 5, 2012 gotta take the wife to dialysis, and as soon as i get home im gonna work on getting these bad dogs on...you guys rock...and so did the seller of the parts...he still has a ton of stuff and he is asking dirt cheap prices...its all cj7 parts... #10 · Jan 6, 2012 alright guys the verdict is in.... Cj7 full doors on a yj with a hard tob----------fit like a glove..striker lines up perfectly. Rear glass from a cj7 top on my yj top-------fits great, but had to remove tire on the carrier to change closing sequence, other that that it is awesome....it is official, i am hooked and i love my little beater jeep :) #14 · Jan 6, 2012 I should have said that about the CJ-7 top! I have a CJ top on mine and love it. Its beefier then the YJ tops and the shocks on them never die. To solve the spare tire and rear hatch opening problem, I took my spare off for now but bought a CJ-7 swing out tire carrier for $20. Just waiting on another buddy to come down to get it! 0 Reply #12 · Jan 6, 2012

What did the rubbers cost(and did this include everything? Window scrubbers interior/exterior, door seal?) The locks? Did they come with new keys, our or did you rekey them to your original set? I picked up a hardtop and full doors from an '87, and they just need a little tlc, door seals, all window scrubbers(bottom, top, and both sides), my glass rattles uncontrollably and forget about getting a pressure washer near them. :) I priced out everything on quadratec, came to almost $220 buying everything in pieces, anyone seen a whole rebuild kit or anything like that? Thanks! #13 · Jan 6, 2012 I found rebuild kit on ebay for the doors. The complete kit included Door seal, inner window felt, outer scrubber, Vent window complete seal, felt window channel. For both doors I paid 159.00. No trimming, everything fit perfectly. The vent window rubber is a PITA. Insert Quotes Post Reply
