Pokemon Legends: Arceus - How To Evolve Stantler ... - Game Rant

With Pokemon Legends: Arceus finally being out, players who found Stantler in the Obsidian Fieldlands might be wondering how to evolve it into Wyrdeer - the majestic reindeer-like Pokemon that players can ride. Trainers can use this quick Pokemon Legends: Arceus guide to learn exactly how to do that, and when they can expect to have a fully evolved Wyrdeer on their team.

How to Find Stantler

Stantler can be found in the area across the bridge near the Aspiration Hill camp, which is unlocked after players get their first Survey Corps star. On the other side of the bridge, players will get to an area called Deertrack Heights, which features plenty of wild Stantlers in all weather conditions and at all times of day and night.

How to Evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer

In order to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer, players have to reach two different milestones. The first is to take Stantler up to level 21, which is when it naturally learns a move called Psyshield Bash.

Stantler evolves into Wyrdeer when it performs Psyshield Bash in Agile Style a total of 20 times, which means that the second step is to take Stantler up to level 31 when it masters the move.

However, Psyshield Bash has a total of 10 PP, which means that it can only be used 5 times in Agile Style before needing to step out of the fight and head back to camp.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus items like Leppa Berries help, as they restore 10 PP to a single move chosen by the Trainer, so having a few of them allows players to travel back and forth from camp less often. Unfortunately, Psyshield Bash has a base accuracy of 90, which means that it's not impossible that it will take 25 or more uses of the Agile Style version of the move before Stantler can finally evolve.

Picking fights with low-level Pokemon helps, especially if those Pokemon are Zubats or Geodudes, which take super effective damage and have very low Special Defense, respectively.

The camps are fantastic places to start, though, because players can easily fight nearby Pokemon and go back to heal when PPs run out. After 20 successful uses of Psyshield Bash in Agile Style, Pokemon Legends: Arceus Trainers will finally see a "Can Evolve" message near Stantler's icon, post-fight.

At that point, all they need to do to evolve the creature in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is to head to their satchel and click X on Stantler, turning it into a Wyrdeer.
