What Are Polar Bears and What Do They Do in Minecraft

Polar Bears don't do anything important in-game. They're usually found walking around but can be provoked if you attack them or their cub. If you're playing on Bedrock, they'll attack you if you get too close to them. Listed below is how much damage they do.

  • Easy: 3 Hearts
  • Normal: 5 Hearts
  • Hard: 8 Hearts

How to Find Polar Bears

Polar Bears only spawn in ice biomes. Listed below are all the biomes Polar Bears are known to spawn in.

  • Deep Frozen Ocean
  • Frozen Ocean
  • Frozen Peaks (Bedrock)
  • Frozen River (Bedrock)
  • Ice Spikes
  • Jagged Peaks (Bedrock)
  • Snow Slopes (Bedrock)
  • Snowy Plains

  • 1-3 XP orbs if killed by a player or tamed wolf
