You can let the tame wake up and then knock it out again. Just have to watch the health for the second knockout.

To add to this, if its a meat eater you can always forcefeed it cooked meat before letting it wake up if your worried about hp (bears, weak rexs, yuty, argys etc) Also feed it stimberry to speed the wake up process

Leading on from this...

Messed up a passive tame? Knock it out and it’s taming effectiveness will reset upon wake up.

Ill also add to this! That Gigantopeticus / other passive being a pain? 

 

Knock it out, build around it (large storage boxes work for ape)  then passive tame in safety

Hello,

Continued breeding gives you a chance to get the lost stat back. But it is a low chance still can be worth it. So continue to breed the wildtamed dinos.

Works both on official and SP.
