Synopsis[]

The year is 1994 and ballroom is a "distant memory" for Blanca, who is struggling "to balance being a mother with being a present partner to her new love, and her latest role as a nurse's aide." Elsewhere, ballroom emcee Pray Tell is dealing with "unexpected health burdens" while, in the ballroom scene, a "vicious new upstart house forces the House of Evangelista members to contend with their legacy."[7]

• Ryan Murphy reveals that the season will have another time leap, but hopes to conclude the series in 1996.[27]
• Billy Porter is set to direct an episode in the upcoming season.[28]
• Janet Mock returns to direct an episode in the upcoming season.[18][16][29]
• Production was halted temporarily due to coronavirus fears in March 2020.[30]
  • On his Instagram, Murphy shared that they had given their prop supplies to Mount Sinai to help physicians during their fight with the pandemic.[31]
• Ryan Murphy has cast Jeremy Pope in a role for the upcoming season.[12][10][11]
• Steven Canals has expressed that certain aspects of the season, such as kissing and ball scenes, would be forgoed due to the coronavirus pandemic.[32][33]
