#6 · Mar 2, 2011 Yes, I saw that bill a while back and that's what scared me. It is in the shop as of this morning. I am SOOOO hoping that it's a wiring problem and not that sensor. I'll let everyone know what I found out, hopefully soon. #7 · Mar 7, 2011 I have the same code on my 2007 Saturn Sky Redline. It threw the code during a hard shift (manual) from 1st to 2nd. Any updates on the repair by Lady Vol Fan? #8 · Mar 11, 2011 Well, it was the sensor on the passenger seat. Total bill $634.06. #9 · Mar 31, 2011 I have the same code on my 07. Dealership said it was the wiring and not the sensor. It's still $300. My uncle is my auto mechanic but is only an ASE teacher so hopefully he can do it. I haven't spoken to him about it yet, but does anyone know where the wiring can be purchased and how invasive it is? #10 · Apr 1, 2011 (Edited) There's two parts to this... the module bolted to the floor under the seat, and the sensor mat glued on top of the passenger seat cushion. The module is easy to replace (might have to unbolt the seat first, but I doubt it). For the mat, the seat would have to come out and you'd need to remove the bottom cushion cover - still not hard though. Worst piece is that you need to run the 'reset/training' procedure with the TechII tool after you replace either of them. For that you need the tool which only a dealer is likely to have (though some mechanics might have it I guess). UPDATE: I need to correct the misinformation I typed above. The Module bolted under the seat is actually the lateral-G sensor (for ESP etc). The module for the seat sensor is on the front edge of the cushion itself. #11 · Apr 18, 2011 That's what I was hoping mine was, the wiring.. but it checked out. I've had no problems with it since replacing the module. My total cost included the diagnostic and reprogramming. I'm thankful my mechanic had the tools to do it all. #12 · Nov 14, 2011 Same happened to me, what's the most probably faulting piece? #13 · Nov 16, 2011 Hard to say without troubleshooting your system, and finding somebody with the knowledge AND the tools to repair it, (of course that doesn't include the part(s) if any).. the easiest is obviously a "loose" connection somewhere in the system.. I have also heard and read that you must be careful because touching something you should not could, and I emphasize could fire off the air bag by shorting across something you should not...:skep:
#17 · Oct 26, 2012 (Edited) Thanx for the info. I am guessing that the accelerator module is for the 2.0 Turbo Sky only? - ?
