Evening guys!!

I've tried to use the "shake the mouse to find cursor" on my iMac (2007 aluminium with the 10.10.1 version and an Apple magic mouse connected) but it doesn't work! what can I do? I've checked the option System Preferences/Accessibility/Display/Shake mouse pointer to locate and it's enabled!

Thanks to all!!!

Wait I found the problem ⚠!!! It's magic mouse preferences. If it's eneable the shake mouse pointer to locate dosen't work! Even on the macbook with the trackpad. 🙂

I'm having the same problem. The "shake" feature doesn't work, even though it is checked off in the Accessability preference. And I don't have Magic Mouse.

Any ideas?

Do you have "MagicPrefs" running on your Mac ? I have it running on my iMac and if it's enabled, the Shake Mouse feature does not work...

You have to disable "MagicPrefs" to get it work !

Hope this helps !

I had same problem and found was due to running the power key app (app allows power key to be used as forward delete). As long as app is off then shake to find cursor works normally.
