Silk is a common rare resource in Ark Scorched Earth. It can be harvested inefficiently by hand and is used in the crafting of a variety of items.

Silk can be harvested from two different types of flower in Scorched Earth. By far the easiest way to get it is by using the Metal Sickle. You can also harvest Silk from a Lymantria (Moth).
