Sk8 The Infinity Season 2 Officially Announced, Release Date ...

The official Twitter account of Sk8 the Infinity anime series, has announced season 2 and an OVA episode. Nothing official yet, but the Sk8 the Infinity season 2 is expected to release in Jan 2024. More information about the upcoming season will be available on the official website.

The anime series is an original anime produced by Studio Bones. It tells the story of Reki, a second-year high school student who enjoys skating. He becomes entangled in “S,” an underground, dangerous skateboard race at an abandoned mine with no rules. Langa, a half-Japanese, half-Canadian boy who has recently returned to Japan from Canada and has never skateboarded before, is also caught up in S with Reki. Langa is forced to skate in a race against dirty racers, AI racers, and other unique individuals.

To commemorate the announcement of season 2, a promotional video has been released by the Aniplex Japane YouTube channel.

Sk8 the Infinite Season 2 Release Date Predictions

The release date of SK8 The Infinity Season 2 has not been officially confirmed by Studio Bones or any other company involved in the anime production. However, an SK8 Season 2 sequel was announced on August 14, 2022.

According to the official Twitter account of the anime series, the season 1 staff will be returning for season 2, and a production decision has been made. Since, there is no real information from the official channels, we will have to speculate about the release date of Sk8 season 2.

A 12-episode anime series usually takes 1 year to 18 months from planning to finishing the series. Since, Sk8 the Infinite is an original anime series (no manga), you could expect that the production committee will take more time to write the script.

In the best-case scenario, the production phase has already begun for season 2. If that is the case, we could see Sk8 season 2 releasing in October 2023. In the worst-case scenario, the production has just begun, which means fans will have to wait for 18 months to 2 years, and season 2 of Sk8 the Infinite will come out in 2024.

Remember that a Sk8 OVA has been announced too. Since it is only 1 episode to animate, we could see Sk8 returning for 1 episode pretty soon. We will update the article once more information on the sequel gets released.
