Rider Experience

Two riders could brave the high-thrill Slingshot attraction at once. After being loaded, riders were tilted back to wait in anticipation for the launch. Once launched, those on board were sent through the sky, surpassing the ride’s 177-foot height. For most cycles, riders were sent spinning head-over-heels before they make their way back down to the ground.

Making a Move

Slingshot was originally installed in the park’s Crackaxle Canyon area in 2013 and named Texas Gunslinger. In 2019, Texas Gunslinger was moved to Fiesta Bay Boardwalk, near Circuit Breaker Grand Prix. This move was to make way for the Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines attraction in Crackaxle Canyon.
