The Slingshot is both as simple and as terrifying as it sounds, combining a high-speed launch with an epic free fall, you’ll take the place of a rock in this scenario.The rubber band of this slingshot amusement park ride is a springy, extra-strong cable suspended 147 feet high between two enormous spikes to form the slingshot structure. And if you’re at all familiar with how these work, you’ll know that you’re about to fly much higher than 147 feet!You’ll strap into the harness and those flexible cables will pull you super far back until —snap! You’re sent shooting through the air up 220 feet high.What comes up must come down! You’ll zoom back to earth at a 90° angle, the steel cable breaking your fall, and the recoil bouncing you up and down. Now you know how it feels to be a giant toy!
