I haven't been able to play it at all. It's literally unplayable. I constantly have a WAYYYY high ping. The pings show up normally in the server list (35ms and such), but then when I'm able to connect it's soooo laggy. Like the buildings load in in sections and things show up as just skinless models until the skins load in. Then if I happen to get in a game it runs as though I'm getting 15 frames a second, and then will eventually kick me for an unusually high ping (usually around 357ms) even though in the server list it was like 30ms.This is the ONLY game that has this weird ♥♥♥♥ going on. I've tried everything. I've validated DayZ files. I've tried reducing the quality. I've checked my speed (13 MB a second).And there is no game I have any issues like this with, not even VR games.Kind of lost.I'm not sure what else to do other than get a return. And ur system is better then mine. The fourth I tolerate because I enjoy the mods that are on the server. But it drives me nuts. I tolerate it. I can't imagine that all my other games demands are complete jokes compared to Dayz. Plus it doesn't explain the ping. I like to save space on my SSD. I'm going to try installing on my SSD but I don't expect that to do anything. I think there's got to be some interference background file intereference with like persmissions something. It does help, but not to the extend you're describing, what type of server are you logging on to and from what area? #8 XtremeNik View Profile View Posts 21 Oct, 2020 @ 5:56pm I'm logging into the fastest server at the top of the list lmao. I'm near LA. I've heard rumors of test servers being dreadful. What determines whether or not it's a test server? I mean, there has got to be something else other than just loading it to my ssd. When I do Google speed test I'm getting 13mb a second. I'm 4 feet from the wireless modem and had the problems you're describing. Switched to wired at everybodies' suggestion and the connection/lag issues went bye-bye. #14 XtremeNik View Profile View Posts 21 Oct, 2020 @ 7:25pm seems pretty ridiculous tbh. I can play ever single game (including VR games which are much more demanding), but for this one I have to be half a foot from the router and plugged in? Seems a bit ridiculous. And is this 4 hour validation process necessary after installing the game? sheesh. lmao this game is like having a girlfriend who's last boyfriend bought her a mercedes daily lol. Highhh maintenance.
