Supernatural Reveals When Final Seven Episodes Will Premiere

Supernatural has revealed that season 15's final seven episodes will begin airing from October 8.

The CW show's last ever season was brought to a halt in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, with only 13 of its 20 episodes having aired.

Now, the drama has confirmed that its final episodes will play out this autumn, with the series finale set to air in the US on November 19. This will be preceded by the retrospective special Supernatural: The Long Road Home.

Ahead of the final seven episodes, lead star Jensen Ackles recently revealed that changes had been made to the scripts due to the pandemic.

"There have been some adjustments made from the scripts that we were going to shoot in March to the scripts that we're shooting now," he confirmed during a Zoom conversation with co-stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, as well as politicians Cory Booker and MJ Hegar.

"We've had to accommodate a pandemic."

During the same conversation, Ackles also teased that "episode 19 feels kind of like the season finale for 15, and episode 20 feels like the series finale".

The actor has wasted no time in finding his new gig, having just announced that he'll be joining the cast of The Boys for season 3.

"I keep wondering what I'll do....when @cw_supernatural finally ends this year. Then it hit me," he captioned an announcement video on Instagram.

He'll be taking on the role of Soldier Boy, described as the "the original superhero" who fought in World War II.

Supernatural season 15 will return on October 8 on The CW in the US. In the UK, the show airs on E4.
