Tesco, Aldi, Asda, Lidl, Sainsbury's August Bank Holiday opening times for 2022

Bank Holiday weekend is almost here which means that many people will be enjoying a three-day weekend. Coming together with friends and family is what many of us do especially before the end of the summer.

That means a great opportunity to plan a meal or even get a barbeque with the hot weather before it disappears. So the question is which stores are open and which aren't?The good news is most supermarkets are open but you will need to be aware of whether that most will have different hours to normal. We've looked at all the major supermarkets and when they are open and closed.

This includes Asda, Aldi and Tesco and more. Here's a rundown of all the supermarket opening times for the bank holiday.

Aldi

Aldi has released its official opening times for stores which are:

Saturday 27 August 8am - 10pmSunday 28 August 10am - 4pmMonday 29 August 8am - 8pm

However, you will definitely want to check the store locator to double check your store times.

Asda

Asda will be opening as normal during the Bank Holiday. Most of the supermarket's bigger stores are open from 7am until 8pm.

However some stores may run a different schedule so it is advised to double check opening hours for any last-minute changes. The best thing to do is check your nearest store here.

Lidl

Lidl has confirmed their Bank Holiday opening times for the weekend. Here are the full Lidl opening times for the bank holiday weekend:

• Saturday 27 August 2022: 8am – 10pm
• Sunday 28 August 2022: 10am – 4pm
• Monday 29 August 2022: 8am – 8pm

Morrisons

Morrisons stores will be open during regular hours the second to last weekend of August. On the bank-holiday Monday, opening times will be 7am-8pm.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's supermarkets across England, Wales and Northern Ireland are open between 7am to 8pm over the Bank Holiday. Stores in Scotland are open as normal.

The majority of Sainsbury's Local stores are open as normal as well.
