Transitional Year Residency Program at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis
The Indiana University School of Medicine Methodist Hospital Transitional Year Residency program is a one-year program that serves as the clinical base year prior to advanced residencies in anesthesiology, dermatology, diagnostic or interventional radiology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or radiation oncology.
The Transitional Year Residency has prepared physicians for advanced specialty training for 40 years. Successful applicants value the clinical foundation provided by the Transitional Year and share the program's emphasis on individual resident development. The Transitional Year Residency offers 15 positions each year. All positions are filled through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) Main Match. Applications are accepted via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
